If they are remodeling when are they going to start? We had just traveled about 11 hours and were very tired and this is what came into. The carpet is very dirty-looking and stained down the hallways & in the rooms. There were a couple of cockroaches roaming around the doorway to the room. Water trickling in the bathtub all night long. Doors on a couple of rooms that I looked into the paint was peeling off. The reason I saw two rooms I was placed on the first floor by my request but it only had one bed, not the two beds that I asked for, I had to be placed on the second floor in order to get the 2 beds.
Shortly after we got settled in our room I got a text on my phone from the hotel stating if we needed anything to text back and the staff would assist me on our needs. The staff was very helpful in getting us settled in but when we needed more towels I texted the hotel and I had to go down to the front desk to get the towels. I found out the reason for the text messages was that the phones in the rooms were dead and didn't work. I thought La Quinta Inns were 3 to 4-star hotels but NOT this one. We WERE going to stay another night on our way back home but I'm not going to stay at that dump. From a La Quinta silver member.

Hallway carpets smelled moldy; the room had paint peeling off the ceiling in numerous places. Carpet in our room was severely stained and had holes. The exterior looked like it went through a war zone with holes and peeling paint. No visible exterior security cameras. I arrived later then expected so there getting another pet friendly hotel was not an option. I will never stay there again.

Our original hotel through BringFido was cancelled while we were in-route to our first night-on-the-road’s hotel. We were told they did not take pets anymore. This left us stranded on the second night of our travels. We booked a night at the Jackson, TN La Quinta through BringFido and prepaid. When we reached Jackson, we were booked into the oldest, filthiest, most disgusting hotel we have ever seen with a non-refundable charge on our credit card and a pet fee due. We found our room as clean as housekeeping could get it, but I sprayed the bed and bedding with Lysol and re-cleaned the bathroom.
From that point until we checked out, we did not walk barefooted or sit on anything but the bed and the toilet. Our dog’s feet never touched any floor in the hotel. We carried her and she did not get off the bed. The carpet was filthy. I don’t know why a pet fee was charged (ours was refunded!) because there were stains on every inch of the carpet. The hall reeked of smoke and tobacco. The parking lot had deep holes in the blacktop and only 3 lights lit. There were dead trees on the lot and broken branches on the parking lot. This place is beyond reconditioning. It needs to be demolished. One bright spot, the staff was nice. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

This was the ultimate worst place of our whole trip across America. We stayed in some janky places due to allowing the dogs but this was by far the worst one. Our dogs are hypoallergenic. But they and my husband and I were covered in dog hair when we got up. There were spiderwebs in the shower with spiders. No trash can, no ice bucket. The whole room looked like there was a full blown fight in it when we walked in. If I could take pictures, I would.

But everything else was booked and we are traveling with two dogs - so here we are. It’s not good. Probably the sketchiest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. No way would I stay here by myself and no way will I stay here again.

Certainly the worst La Quinta we’ve ever stayed in and since they are dog friendly we use them a lot. Possibly one of the very oldest. The carpet reminded me of that we encountered in a foul Soviet era hotel in rural China! No breakfast available even tho advertised (but we wouldn’t have eaten it anyway). TV didn’t work (no great loss). Our dog was fine with all this. Wyndham needs to decommission this dump.

The room I Wes given was on the second floor, a minor inconvenience. The hotel is hard to access from the interstate, made especially difficult during rush hours in a cloudburst. The room was adequate for my needs, but the halls reeked of cigarette smoke, even though I was put in a non-smoking room.

This hotel was ok for just traveling through, one night stay. Staff could have been friendlier but did their job fine. Was placed on 3rd floor, not really that great when traveling with a dog. Breakfast was fine. Best was that there was complimentary lemon water and fruit all day in the lobby.

I’ve stayed at many LaQuintas during my travel with pets. This one is terrible! Dirty and smells bad. The first room we checked into had blood stains on the carpet so we asked for a room change. The air conditioner wasn’t working in the second room. Finally got a third room that is marginally adequate. We would have changed hotels but everything that’s pet friendly nearby was booked. This LaQuinta gives the brand a bad name!!

This building is outdated, and looks unsanitary. When we turned on the heat, an unpleasant odor was emitted. The carpets are nasty, doors are beaten. Will never stay at this LaQuinta again. We stay at LaQuinta’s because they’re pet friendly, but they should be people friendly too. This one just isn’t.
