        Nice Hotel

This is a lovely hotel conveniently located near the Grand Ole Oprey. It is about a 20 minute ride to downtown Nashville where parking fees are exorbitant. The rooms are large and very comfortable and clean. Lots of free parking and some grass area for walks. The only drawback is if you are passing through and want to get out early in the morning, the service in the restaurant is VERY slow, there is no frig in the room and no restaurants nearby to catch a quick breakfast. They are very dog friendly here.

        Thumbs up

Cool, and close to the airport

        great find!

Found this late one night on the first leg of our road trip. The hotel was clean, personnel were friendly and the hotel was lively.
Breakfast was great but not included.
No doggie bags but we thoroughly enjoyed the staff and our accommodations. They also waved our pet fee since we're relocating.

        not worth the money

Before booking the hotel, we read the reviews and thought this was going to be an awesome place. We have a pitbull and they were more then willing to except him. First off, when you pull up, you can tell the hotel is old. Okay, not a problem. They said they had "a multi million dollar renovation." The lobby was nice and we did get a goody bad for our dog... after we asked for it. When we got to our room you can tell it was really old. It smells old. We had a no smoking room but I felt like it still smelt like smoke. They ask you to crate your dog if you leave the hotel. Not a big deal. It just wasn't what we expected. Maybe the non pet rooms were nicer. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

        Awesome!!!!!

Love love love this place!!! Extremely friendly, great hotel and very pet friendly. I've stayed at other places for $250 per night that's not as nice as this hotel is.

        just what we needed!

After driving 880 miles on our way to sunnier places, Nashville was exactly our 1/2 point way on our journey. We arrived at 8pm. The standard room at 129$ was offered but we decided to pay 20$ more for a top floor room. It was pet month and they waived the 45$ pet fee! Lucky us! Golden doodle, German Pointer and a Yorkiepoo were greeted with smiles and a treat bag with a ball inside. Our room was clean and comfortable. We ordered the dinner special of rib eye, mashed potatoes, asparagus, salad, smoked salmon lox plate, German chocolate cake with maple frosting and fresh whipping cream from room service. It came fast and was so delishious! 2 local brews on top and then we were all off to bed. Even though it's right next to the airport, we never heard not even one plane. Speedy checkout and we were on our way! Thanks for a great night.

        Awesome

This was a last minute reservation on our relocation from NC to CA. We were thoroughly impressed with this hotel. The staff were wonderful and our 2 cats and 1 dog each got a goodie bag at check in with toys and treats. Our room was perfect!! Clean and comfortable with a lot of room for our dog to play fetch (as she decided one of the cat toys was hers). I would highly recommend Hotel Preston to anyone traveling with furry babies. Great for people as well, hehe.

        not worth the money.

They gave us a room directly outside the elevator bank, which is an issue when you are traveling with your dogs, especially one who js a bit on the protective side. While the room itself was decent, the hotel staff was fairly unwelcoming. The shower curtain liner was dirty. Room service was lacking. If you do decide to stay here, make sure you get a room far from the elevators, unless you enjoy having one dog pacing and barking at the steady stream of people walking in front of your door.

        not what I expected

I was disappointed in the hotel. I was expecting a much more hip, fun hotel based on the website descriptions and photos. Instead I got mediocre in terms of the room, amenities and service. They offered me a lower rate with AAA but when I checked out they had not honored the rate. The room was nothing special. I was traveling with my dog and they did not give me any pet water bowl, treat or toy for pets. Internet service costs $$; it is not free. No complimentary breakfast, which is nice to have when traveling. I will not stay here again.

        Good Stay

The pet policy was accurate, however I booked through this site and entered that I had 2 dogs. When I got there they did not have me in a pet friendly room. Luckily they were able to switch that for me though. Also, we did not get the bowl, treat and toy either. The hotel was nice and the price was good.

        Great Stay!

We stayed at the Hotel Preston over Valentine's Day. We traveled with another couple and the hotel easily accommodated us by giving us adjoining rooms. The pet fee was $50, which I find to be a little steep for a one night stay, but with the cheap price for the room it all equaled out in the end. They were very pet friendly and didn't mind our dog walking through the lobby on her way to the bathroom. The hotel is very chic and modern and the rooms are nice. We did have to ask them for our furry-friend check-in treats, which was a plastic food bowl filled with Milk-bones. We will definitely stay there again!
