The Cottages on Orchard
The Cottages on Orchard is one of two guest cottages as well as the original house on this wooded property. The cottage was built in 1932 by biographical author Victor Thaddeus. This little rustic bohemian guesthouse is in the Ardentown neighborhood of North Wilmington. This cozy cottage is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood and backs the woods with a creek and walking path. You have your own backyard backing the woods so relax and have a bonfire! Some wood available.
Things to do in the neighborhood
-Arden pool (short walk in summer) daily rates apply -Candlelight theater (dinner and a show) 3 min walk -Guild Hall (concerts and different events) -Arden Fair (first week in September- don’t want to miss) -playgrounds,creeks and walking trails
Close to the Brandywine Valley Museums and Events . One hour from Lancaster (Amish Country). 2.5 hours from NY with transportation by train or bus available. 2 hours from Washington DC with transportation by train or bus available. Bus passes are as low as $17.00 if booked in advance!
Fun activities for children such as Dutch Wonderland Amusement Park for younger children and fearful adults, and Great Adventure for all ages and the feint of heart.
