From the outside it looked like a normal motel. However on the inside was a modern, updated clean hotel. The lobby needs a makeover but the breakfast nook and lobby area was very organized and clean. Rooms were modern and updated. We spent a few more dollars and got a suite. Was happy we did. Quiet place to walk dogs out back but payment parking lot in front. Walls a bit thin so dogs barked when people were outside but because we were in corner suite it wasn't often. Overall great stay. Would stay again when and if we had pups.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and staff was friendly. I’d say it was slightly above what I expected for a budget motel. My only real complaint is that the only place to take your dogs out to potty is behind the building, which was fine during the day, but after dark it was unusable. There were no lights back there and it was so dark you couldn’t see two feet in front of you. Also, it would have been nice to have poop bags and a trash can back there, because it was a bit of a mine field back there if you know what I mean. Lights in the back and a potty station with bags and a trash can would greatly improve the doggy aspect of this motel.

The check-in clerk was awesome and greeted me and my dog. It’s an inexpensive low end chain so I don’t expect great amenities, but it was clean, and I felt safe there.

This place is scary if you are a woman traveling. You can hear everything through the walls. The pet relief area is a joke. The rooms smell, not like dog, but like human sweat.

They charge a pet fee per dog yet have a tiny pet relief area in an area that seemed unsafe as a female. Sheets were very crumpled. The place had a dirty feel. Would not return.

Someone smoked in the room, non smoking signs everywhere and not the hotel's fault. Clean room, friendly staff, dog run. Would stay here again.

A great "No Frills" place to rest for the night while traveling with your Fur Kid. Plenty of grassy areas for your pup to relieve themselves. Our Fur Kid, Sunny, was calm, content, and slept peacefully.

I was a tad worried when I first got there. Rough crowd, I thought. Turns out they were nice enough. Our room was on the second floor, accessed by open staircases which I thought I would never get my dog up, much less me (I have a real problem with them). The hotel should consider dedicating rooms on the first floor to accommodate those guests with pets. So that’s my biggest ding. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. There is a city park about 6 blocks away that was a great place to get some exercise. But beware—lots of sticker burrs in the grass!

They were very kind and accommodating. Dogs were more than welcome and didn’t have all sorts of dumb rules that can affect your dog’s stay. Off the beaten path, big rigs weren’t heard, pool and jacuzzi WAS OPEN along with a nice breakfast bag and coffee to go. Thank you for a nice evening.

For a place to stay overnight with the dog, it definitely fit the bill.
The reception and the manager were both very welcoming.
The doggie area is at the back of the building. It has grass and is a nice place to walk your dog to quickly. And it’s away from the Main Street thru town’s traffic.
The showers have been recently retired. It’s a nice upgrade.
The bed was comfortable.
AC worked
The only thing I didn’t understand, but didn’t ask about, was our room only had one dining chair, and one nightstand... I’m sure there was a reason... and I could have asked them to fix it, but we were tired and we made it work.
AND it’s maybe 6 blocks from the really lovely Childress Park/ Lake.
That was a great place for our morning walk before we hit the road again! It’s north and west of the hotel. ... worth finding - FrankJun 9, 2019What You Would Expect
This is a decent place for a small town like childress. $12/night pet fee, dryer didn’t work in laundry facility and jacuzzi isn’t super hot but it’s got the friendliest staff, our Yorkie Murphy usually has a big grassy space to take his “breaks” and it’s very quiet, the bed is very comfortable.
