    Routine Stay

    This hotel was fine for my dog and I. No issues but nothing outstanding either. My dog and I were put on the second floor, which made it a little more difficult to get out.

    Deceptive trade practices

    Do not stay at this hotel. They are dishonest and incredibly rude. I have stayed at this hotel in the past and had ok experiences. I had to come in town again for a funeral, and called ahead. They quoted me the same 89.00 rate that is on this website today, and I booked two nights. When I went to check out, they charged me 129.00 for the second night. I explained that the rate I had been quoted was 89.00. They told me the rate went up to 129.00 because they were now full. I said that I wanted the rate they quoted me. The front desk person went back to talk to the manager, and came back and offered me 10.00 off the 129.00 rate for the second night. I again asked that I be given the rate I was quoted. The manager, named Angela, came out and she was the most unprofessional, rude and hateful person I have ever had the displeasure to interact with. She told me that it was my fault because I should have seen the small print on the check in paperwork. I said that I was in town for a funeral, was a repeat customer at this specific location and I trusted them. She told me I was a liar about being a repeat customer because I have only stayed there 3 times. She was so rude and said she would give me the quoted rate, but that I was banned from ever staying at that hotel. She ended up screaming at me on the way out and I was in tears. I am a licensed attorney in Texas and I have been for over 25 years. To be accused of lying to get an 89.00 rate is beyond ridiculous. I stood up for myself and I knew I was in the right. If you don’t respond well to bullies, and you don’t want to be deceived and overcharged, stay away from this place. There are plenty of other hotels in the area with normal professional staff. It is not worth dealing with these dishonest people.
