This is an older hotel, has had some upgrades done. But it was clean and what we needed for a one night stop. Pool was still closed and lobby closed, everything was done through the night clerk’s window, so no breakfast or even coffee. But, for the price, we could buy our own. The only reason the hotel is getting a 4 instead of 5: knowing we had a dog, we were placed in a room at the bottom of staircase. Kept the dog on edge all night. It would have been nice to be in a less busy area. As for the surrounding town, it is a working class area so not pretty, but we didn’t see or hear anything that made us feel in danger. On the city sidewalks, there was some broken glass, be careful where you walk your dog.
