The best thing about this resort is the proximity to Bryce Canyon. It's a full service resort with dining, groceries, laundry, tours and an incredible gift shop. It is pet friendly with plenty of space to walk your pets. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only reason I did not give the five bones was that our room smelled as if someone had smoked in it. Highly recommend this resort if you are visiting Bryce Canyon.

Found this place last minute during cross country road trip. It had everything we needed and the room was ground level, Also plenty of places to walk the pups.

Unit was dirty, hair in the bathroom. Manager contacted, said it was terrible. Waived pet fee but nothing else. We will not be returning.

It's good enough. No real pet area. Walls were paper thin and upstairs neighbors kept us awake walking around on squeaky floor all night. Dated hotel but sufficient and great location obviously.

Check in took an hour and a half, they said 5he room wasn’t ready but it was. The room above had someone walking and squeaking the floors, our ceiling all night so I got very little sleep. The guy took my credit card to charge the $30 dog fee and I watched him do it and now I got an email stating I owe the dog fee. Place was really noisy and crowded.

This is a large complex which needs a facelift. We were given a ground floor room which meant that, every time the shower or toilet was used upstairs we heard VERY loud water noises. Kept us up at night.
The breakfast was a pleasant surprise - good hot options as well as a cold grab and go option. Not sure why the pet fee was $30, especially as pets were not allowed to be left alone in the rooms. - ConstanceOct 30, 2021Resort atmosphere
Closest hotel to Bryce Canyon National Park (3 miles). Grocery, gift shop, gas and excellent free buffet breakfast in restaurant. Pet area close to room. Room was clean but dated. Main lobby was western decor and nicely appointed. Nice staff. Would go again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Ruby’s Inn. So convenient with attached general store and other shops across the street. Rooms pretty plain but worked out great for our needs. Parking in front of room helpful. Outdoor tables in shade would be terrific.

This hotel was good for the location and proximity to Bryce Canyon. There weren’t specific dog areas, but plenty of grounds to walk the dogs around. Zero dog friendly restaurants nearby, so we ordered takeout. Rooms were pretty outdated but was okay for just a night.

This place was nice, clean and comfortable beds, plus close to the park. Had lots of space to walk the dog but not really any green space for potty if that’s what your dog likes. My only complaint was the rooms had way too much in them which made it difficult at times with two adults and a big dog to move around.

Great place for single travelers and families, also saw a lot of happy retired couples here. Good breakfast —- and my emotional support dog was welcome in the breakfast room.

Overcrowded in Nov 2020 - people stomping in room above us, kids screaming next door.... the restaurant won't do take out -- they only serve food indoors at the apex of a global pandemic when no one should be dining indoors. Room was filthy upon check in, key card for door does not work. This place is a dump. At least the staff is friendly. We booked for 2 nights and left after the first night.

I loved staying here with my dog. After reading another review here I requested a Lake View room and it was perfect. FYI: the building is called Lakeview and one side faces the lake/pond. The other side is fine too, facing a lawn that my dog liked :)
In mid-October the pond was pretty dried out but staying on that side was quiet and less busy than the Ponderosa building on the main road. I sat my lawn chair outside the room with a dog bed alongside and watched the geese on the pond.
During our stay I did have a problem with my room lock that required replacing the whole lock me and the maintenance people were all right on it, getting it fixed within hours.
This is not a fancy place - 1980's Best Western - but its a huge property that is great for riding or walking around with your dog through the campground and grounds. - KrisAug 18, 2020Great location for Bryce Canyon
We loved Ruby's Best Western. Casual lodge-type accommodations were perfect for our dog and for us. We requested a first floor room facing the lake ($10 extra for lakeview) and well worth it; otherwise you are facing parking lot with more cars and another lodge across from you. This hotel is a huge complex with many on-site services. It was nice to walk our dog through the campgrounds, the big grassy areas, and around the grounds. It was nice to use the free shuttle service into the park, although the dog is not allowed on the bus. Overall, Bryce Canyon Park is reasonably dog-friendly and we had an excellent visit. Read the pet policy on www.nps.gov/brca for the park itself.

I was under the assumption we would be in an actual hotel. We were placed in a motel type lodge. I usually try to steer clear of motels traveling as a solo female but it was fine. Clean and comfortable. The property is huge! Me and the pup ate on the patio connected to the general store. But he had to wait in the car while I ran in to get the food. Only a few minute drive from Bryce Canyon, which you can still see quite a bit of with a dog 🙂

Room was adequate, a bit dated, but large with a large closet. The heater fan was so loud I had to turn it off to sleep. The staff was nice, dinner in the restaurant was surprisingly good.
