We were very happy with our stay here.

First of all the bed skirts looked dirty, the curtains had stains and were yellowed, the lampshade was broken and beat up looking, and the room was musty. We do not mind outdated furniture, but dirty looking furniture is just gross.

Small green grass area which was better then nothing. No carpet even though the pic showed carpet. We prefer carpet for our old pupper.

It took a long time to check in. Bathroom was not thoroughly clean and you had to search for grass that was cut to walk the dogs. However they did have cookies at the front desk and a nice breakfast.

Very nice room. Stayed the night while driving home with two pups from Tennessee. Very comfortable and treated our pups well. Would definitely go back!

Nice hotel. Our two bichons loved it! Small grassy area for potty walks, but doable. And Abingdon is a neat little town. Even found a dog-friendly restaurant that let our dogs join us inside!

I was pleasantly surprised with my entire stay. The room was very clean, updated and comfortable. The dog area was quite sufficient and there was even a doggie poop container with plenty of bags. I would definitely recommend this motel and will be back again on my way to and from Florida to Maine.

Room was clean and on the ground floor. Entire room had tile which was perfect for my puppy in potty training companion! Breakfast was great. Green space was somewhat limited, but we made the best of it by walking across the parking lot.

Room was clean, with LVT flooring. We were in a room right next to the side entrance and the dog walk area. Waste bags were provided and there was a table to sit at as well. Easy access to 81 with some restaurants close by.

The positive experience started at check-in. The general manager was at the front desk and he was pleasant, helpful and welcoming. It's amazing what a difference your experience is based on the employees you encounter. Every employee we met was friendly, smiling and always asking if they could be of any help. The property isn't brand new, but it is perfectly maintained. They are extremely dog friendly. The breakfast was as good as we've encountered. The attention to detail was amazing (when have you ever seen snow and ice scrapers at the front desk after a storm, or a little plastic sleeve over the TV remote to help prevent germ transfer?!). Highly recommended!

Would get 5 bones with a better dog walk area. No grass except by dumpster area behind restaurant next door. Fortunately, our guy isn't very picky, and it was not an issue for is. Room cleanliness, size, and ground floor location was great. Would definitely stay again

Lots of good things going on here. Convenient to the HWY, clean, no carpet in the rooms, ceramic tile. The space behind and on one side of the hotel is fenced so doggies that are not good poopers on a leash are semi confined. All side of the hotel are well lit for a late night walk. The walking area is long enough just a bit narrow between the hotel and fence. It gets the job done. Gas and food are adjacent to the hotel. All the hotel amenities are up to speed. I am traveling with two labs. We did great.

entire team was very accommodating and so friendly. no carpet in the pet friendly rooms is great. pet rooms located on ground floor closet to the door to get outside - very nice. walking distance to several restaurants gas station very close. not a ton of green space or walking space for walking our dog.

Be aware they have added nightly pet fee that was rather high...$35 I think.
Nice they had the pet-friendly rooms near the lobby on the first floor. I understand reason for no carpet on floor, but small area rugs would be nice. The man who checked us in was totally ready for us because we used BringFido. The pet friendly area has access to a back door and there are benches for those of you lucky enough to have a dog that just wants to go outside and doesnt require a nice walk. There was not a lot of walking area around that didnt border either 81 or Lee Highway so my puppy who is afraid of cars had a harder time. That is not a reflection on the hotel at all. There were plenty of pizza places to get carryout and a Mexican restaurant you could walk to from the hotel.

I get that there are usually dedicated "people with pets stay here" rooms in most hotels, and that's fine. Have to say, though, that this was the least human-friendly pet-friendly room I've stayed in. Part of that was due to traveling during covid... I wasn't at all confident in the hotel's cleaning procedures and I spent a lot of time Lysoling surfaces and wiping things down. The room smelled like wet dog which, OK, yes, I get, there was probably a wet dog in there at some point, but considering the floor was tile (makes cleaning up messes a breeze, I'm sure) having such a strong scent was a surprise. I was expecting something cleaner and a bit cozier for this hotel's price tag.

We had a good stay - 2 adults, 2 kids, and one large dog. I thought the warm items at breakfast were great, omlet, potatoes and sausage patties. They also had a waffle station which the kids enjoyed. My husband said traffic noise from the interstate kept him awake but I didn't notice it.

We had a great overnight at this newly renovated Country Inn location. The doggie rooms have laminate floors which are great for dog owners. The staff was so helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make sure our visit was a good one. We will be returning in the future.

This hotel has great outdoor grass areas to walk your dog and they had no problem accommodating my 75lb dog. The breakfast was wonderful. They’re undergoing renovations currently, so all dogs are on the first floor which is fine but the walls are quite thin so every time people walk out the exit to smoke, the door shuts with a loud bang and woke everyone up. Otherwise, very nice hotel and accommodating for large dogs.
