Front desk was surly. Room was ok, but no trash can or ice bucket. Despite phoning, none arrived until I searched and found a housekeeper. Dog could not be left in room. Had to cross busy road to reach green space. No luggage trolley or staff to help with luggage. Valet parking lady overwhelmed and lost our car key. Game room bar closed. Grrrrr! Higher staffing levels needed urgently!

Everyone was very welcoming and gave my pup lots of treats in the lobby. The only thing I'd say is that the room could have used a little bit of updating - fresh paint, updated shower, etc. But the bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size. Service and location were great too.

I have read some previous reviews and can only conclude that the hotel has changed its policy. There is a nightly charge for a pet. You must also cross a busy road to get to a grassy patch for your pet. We are leaving after one night because this is not a good fit for pet owners.

The Graduate Hotel in Charlottesville was everything we could have asked for in a hotel that allows dogs. They were friendly to us and our 2 dogs, were helpful in every way, and even had dog treats to give to the dogs. Would definitely go there again when in Charlottesville.

After driving 9 hours (5 am) we were greeted by a nice valet person and the front desk lady provided hugs and treats to my dog (pitbull). Through our stay, everyone (including other guests) were extremely kind and pet my dog without hesitation.
Beds and pillows were comfortable. Shower wouldn’t stay closed and the bathroom wasn’t wiped down enough (hair all over).
Over all, we (me, my son and my dog) were very happy and I’d stay there again.
Bonus... NO PET FEE!

Graduate is a nice property. The room was attractive and comfortable. The property seemed safe. Odd omission: no cups or glasses provided. Could be picked up at the desk. Kind to our dog. They gave her a treat and spoke warmly to her. The $16 valet parking fee was not mentioned in the description.

This was our first time road tripping with our dog and we had a great experience here. They’re used to having dogs, you’ll probably see several other furry friends, and have a park right in front for all their business. We were able to walk down the street and take her to eat with us. We’d definitely go back! The rooms are a little older (there’s a dog floor) but the bed was a dream.

Great place to stay with your dog and no pet fee. This is an older hotel but very clean. Note that there is no place on-site to walk your dog but
there is a nice park across the street which was fine and you have to take the elevator....no ground floor rooms. We enjoyed it and very nice staff. Valet parking only and bell staff was outstanding! - HallieMore than a year agoideal for dogs
In an emergency situation, they were the perfect solution. Within walking distance to the hospital and the dogs are free! Great consumer service too.
