Awful location for dogs and humans

First thing is the confirmation said no dog fee but once we arrived they charged me.. second they so called put us on the dog floor which smelled horrible like old dog per and poop the rooms were not the cleanest and we had to ask them to come fix our bathroom door which was completely hanging off the hinges... three there is no assigned dog area outside or receptacle so dog poop is everywhere when you walk around the building.. four out first night there we had two parties going on all night with weed smoking and lots of door closing and loud talking which of course my dog was up barking half the night but once we got through that the next night they put a birthday party right next door and across from us with kids from 12-15. Running through bathe halls knocking on my door loud music weed smoking and yelling which of course again made for a short night.. I was in VB for a funeral and to say the least was hoping my stay would be peaceful and it was anything but and to have to be up all night the night before I had a 10 hour drive home was ridiculous.. I will never recommend or stay here every again

    Noisy room (not dog)

The climate was whisper silent and enjoyed the modern furniture and light blocking blinds. Knowing that I stayed in a pet friendly room, being given a room that broadcast the mechanics of the elevator and blaring outdoor safety lighting was not an encouraging way to develop a repeat customer at this chain of hotels. The staff did eventually fix the toilet after asking twice.

    Very attractive hotel

The Aloft in Chesapeake is a very attractive and clean property. The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is the bathroom. Aloft hotels have very modern and sleek decor. But the sliding door separating the toilet area from the rest of the room didn’t close all the way. There was no privacy.

    Mostly great

We had loud neighbors, but I can’t fault the hotel for that. The pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable, otherwise an alright stay for one night.

    Friendly Staff

Staff was friendly, only minus was that the grass needed to be mowed in the walking area.

    Good place for a dog!

I needed a place to stop for the night with my friend and two dogs on our way home from a trip. The aloft was right off the the road we were traveling, the staff were extremely friendly, and there was and the beds were comfortable. The room and hallways were painted black and the carpets were dark so it was very dark inside. Because we had to have a dog room on the first floor and right next to the bar and pool table on a night the band was playing it was very loud. I would give it a 6 out of 10.
