This is such a cute and welcoming hotel. We stayed in one of the casitas, which was perfect for our dog. It had a separate, gated patio, so while my husband and I enjoyed an evening glass of wine, our dog got to safely lie in the sun. The staff was very kind and helpful. We will definitely stay here again!

Our pup and we had a delicious meal tonight at Serious Texas Bar-B-Q. We are actually from Texas and can attest that the food here is just as good as anything we’ve had back home. The sweet ladies behind the counter were beyond kind. They even gave us a big packet of “dog scraps” (ends, fat…) for our girl! There is a large patio with lots of space for people and dogs. Definitely a dog friendly place!

We had an amazing lunch at the Byron T Saloon. We asked to sit outside because of our dog, but the very kind server said it was too hot so she could come inside. Once inside we had a delicious lunch. We will definitely return next time we are in Las Vegas!

The Shiloh was a great stop for us as we traveled from Texas to California. From the friendly welcome at the front desk, the comfortable room, and the large shady pet area, I couldn’t ask for more. We will be back on our next trip!

This is a great hotel - clean, comfortable and good location right off of I-10. The only thing keeping me from giving it five bones is the lack of a designated pet area. It would be nice to have had a grassy area to walk my dog instead of a gravel lot.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in with our dog. It is a beautiful property, super clean and well-maintained. The staff were great! We checked in rather late and received the warmest welcome from Amanda. I would definitely stay here again.

Our room at the Holiday Inn Express had a great little kitchenette, and it was clean. But the shower was disgusting. There was mold along the bottom, a huge black stain right where one stands, and paint was peeling off the ceiling. When I mentioned it at checkout, I was told that all the bad weather that area has been having has taken a toll on the property. The bathrooms are due to be remodeled. Hopefully that will happen soon.

The Aloft in Chesapeake is a very attractive and clean property. The only thing keeping me from giving it five stars is the bathroom. Aloft hotels have very modern and sleek decor. But the sliding door separating the toilet area from the rest of the room didn’t close all the way. There was no privacy.

La Quinta Inns are so often our go to stop when traveling. They are dog friendly - with no pet fee! - and are clean and well-maintained. The La Quinta in Hoover is no exception. It is very conveniently located near the freeway and close to lots of restaurants. We would definitely stay there again.

The Best Western in Fort Stockton is one of the best places we have stayed with our dog on our many travels. Unlike other pet friendly hotels, the Best Western isn’t just pet friendly, it’s people friendly too. It is clean, attractive, and the staff are very helpful and pleasant. It also has a great dog run area.

On a hot day traveling from Texas to California, we stopped in Chandler, AZ for lunch. It was serendipity that we found this restaurant because we had never heard of it. They have a huge, dog friendly patio with misters. The waitress was so nice and offered our dog water. The food is wonderful! What a find!

We always like Drury Inns when traveling with our dog. They are clean, well-maintained and attractive. A real plus at the Amarillo location is the great buffet available in the evening. After a long day on the road it was nice not to have to go out to eat. They even gave us tickets for a free glass of wine or beer!

We travel between Houston and San Diego at least once a year, and stopping at La Posada has become a tradition. Dogs are allowed on the beautiful patio that is shaded by colorful umbrellas and the branches of an old pecan tree. The food is amazing! And what makes La Posada even more special is the history of its building. The oldest part of the restaurant was originally a stop on the old Butterfield Trail.

So often it seems that staying in a hotel that is pet friendly means it is not people friendly -- run down, dirty, etc. But the Holiday Inn Express in Casa Grande is lovely! Super clean, nice staff, etc.

We stay in La Quintas quite often when we travel because of their great pet policy. Although they certainly aren’t luxury resorts, they are always clean and well maintained. The Slidell property is our first negative La Quinta experience. It is quite rundown with dirty, worn furniture in the rooms; small inadequate bathrooms; dirty, worn carpets and chipped paint everywhere.

This is one of the best La Quinta hotels we have stayed in. It was very clean and well maintained.
