  Good Stay!

  The entire staff was super friendly. Breakfast was good. The lady who runs the breakfast is soooo nice. My only complaint about my stay was the room’s carpet. My white socks were filthy after walking around the room. The motel is dated, but adequate for a night’s stay.

  Cheap & Clean

  Clean room, but heavy odor of chemical air freshener in the room. Room doors open to parking lot, so no walking in a hallway with my pack. Plenty enough grass areas for them too.

  First room strong odor of urine. Changed rooms. Cigarette smell but tolerable after long day travel. Grass area for pets but not fenced. Restaurants nearby.

  Front desk staff were polite and helpful. LOTS of good, grassy area to walk pups. Within easy driving distance of places to eat.

  Not Worth It

  Have you ever walked into a hotel room and thought, “This place looks familiar…” only to realize that it looks like every hotel room on CSI where someone ends up dead? That is a much more accurate description on this place. I don’t know where those photos came from, or if it’s possible to be catphished by an inanimate object, but somehow we were. Not that it didn’t have its special features. Our room came with a recliner complete with questionable stain, and a couple other additions that make you wonder if they charge by the hour. They didn’t charge us for our dog to stay, but honestly, I can’t imagine feeling safe enough to stay here with out one. There is a Wingate Hotel across the parking lot. Stay there.

  Pros: Very friendly staff, good breakfast, Cracker Barrel a walk across the parking lot. Cons: The room was ok, a little worn and could use updating.

  Great location

  Rt 81 right behind motel and Cracker Barrel that allows dogs on patio right next door. Motel rooms show wear and carpet needed a good cleaning. Dog found "things" on the floor but thankfully, got them before she ate them. This was right after Hurricane Ian and it was very full with rescue teams so they may have been short staffed which added to the rather poor conditions.

  TV wouldn’t turn off, remote didn’t work, clock was flashing and couldn’t be changed. Hot and cold water settings in bathroom sink were backwards. Breakfast was bad. There are better pet friendly options in Christiansburg.

  Perfect for our needs

  Clean rooms, comfy bed, lots of grass to walk dogs, convenient to Blacksburg Super Regional Softball Tournament and Roanoke, a favorite city of ours. Dogs were safe in the room (brought a crate) and a great dinner across the street.

  Perfect for Us

  We have never stayed at a Quality Inn before. Was pleasantly surprised by it. This one is a motel style which I liked especially bc of Covid. Seemed pretty clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Plenty of grass for dogs to do their business. Only downside was heat took forever to come to a warm temperature but overall didn’t detract. Would recommend!!

  This was the second time at this location. Rooms are very clean, the pet fee is reasonable and staff accommodating. Will stay again

  Just ok. Motel.

  Now I understand the difference between the various chain brands. I did not expect a motel inn style setting. That was my fault. The place was very crowded. There was an event happening in town and the pool and place was packed. The laundry room and pool area were only ok. The area for dogs was not as wide open and green as the pictures show. As of July 2019, a new hotel was being built behind the place which made the area dirty and less than ideal. The place could use an upgrade and new exterior paint to spruce it up. If you are traveling with family (kids), this place will work for you as I saw several families here. I will add pictures too so you can see what I saw.

  Could do better

  In a real pinch, ok. They are not full Fido in my view: dog-having guests do get assigned lesser quality rooms despite pet fee. Room smelled like Febreze and was not very comfortable. Property looks nothing like the pictures--place is under serious renovation and not there yet, not by a far sight. Pool is dismal--grim and shut with a chain: I tried to not think about it. Breakfast room really rough and not fit for guests: I tried to not think about it. Not the nicest experience, but it was quiet and nothing went wrong. Dog walking area was good, but stay out front--the back of the place is not nice. Services nearby are fine. It's just not the level of property it's advertised to be, and in light of that reviews of this place are too forgiving on here--it's low-end for the price and it's not hard to see broken fixtures and rough stuff at every turn despite it being an acceptable place to sleep. Not recommended for the enlightened Fido crowd, and certainly not recommended for the naive or faint of heart: too many weird visual and spatial cues.
