When we arrived they said they didn’t have any dog-friendly rooms left even though we reserved one. Very little outdoor space to bring a dog and it wasn’t very clean at all. But we slept I guess.

The hotel was easy to get to off of I-95. The rooms overall were comfortable and fine. Dog rooms are on the 5th floor which makes it challenging. The spot out front for dogs to use is tiny. Still overall comfortable and relatively clean. Full breakfast available early.

This hotel is exactly what you’d expect from a hotel right off of I-95. Not the cleanest, not the friendliest staff, but it was right off the highway, they allowed our dog, and the bed was comfy. For one night while traveling it was fine.

Friendly staff, solid free breakfast, clean bedding and bathroom. Only downside was the water in the shower/sink didn’t get very hot. Pup loved the room though!

This place is disgusting. I am surprised the Hampton brand allows their name to be associated with this location. We stayed here overnight and that was too long. We were in a suite and the floors were disgusting, there was mildew in both windows and in the bathroom. The toilet looked like it had been surfaced cleaned and no deep cleaning had been done in months. Socks were filthy after a less than 10 hour stay and I felt horrible that our dogs were subjected to walking around here. There were 3 people staying in the room but were only given towels for 2 guests. When I went to the front desk to ask for more, the receptionist grilled me on how many people were in our room, what our room number was, and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. Very disappointed with what once was a great hotel brand but has since gone downhill.

What I loved most was that all pet friendly rooms are in the 5th floor not my first choice but worked out fine. The room and hotel were exceptionally clean. The hotel appeared to be new or totally renovated. The staff was cordial and friendly. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely return.

Hampton Inn Emporia Virginia easy off I-95. Two Golden Retrievers. Front desk very helpful, room was perfect! Will do again. We have been traveling in motorhome for years and decided to do something different. This worked out great. Thank you.

We have stayed at this hotel on our way back from Florida to NJ a number of times. It's time for an update -- there also was a spot on the coverlet that I didn't detect at first -- my dog did however. It's convenient off of 95 but really not much of an area -- except for the Mexican restaurant in the Days Inn. That's walkable and worth checking out.

This is not what I expect from the Hilton brand. Cleanliness was not up to par at all. Rooms are outdated old and in disrepair. Very disappointed. The staff at the desk was very pleasant I believe her name to be Patricia.

Very pet friendly, no additional pet fee charged. Minimal areas to walk your pet as the area of the hotel is commercially developed. Quiet rooms and a nice grab and go breakfast. Hopefully hot breakfast will return one day soon.

Hotel located right off of I-95. Easy to find. Easy check in. Pet owners directed to fifth floor. Receptionist pleasant but seemed overwhelmed as if she was the only one working. We were one of several pet owners staying overnight but did not find it noisy at all. Room relatively clean. Not many options for food in the immediate area though. Good for a one night stay.

The Hampton Inn in Emporia was very accommodating to having pets there, but I had the feeling that it was a new amenity for them. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. There was no place outside to walk your dog or poop container area for dogs to use. There were few rules to do with Pets so people were bringing their dogs into the dining area, which made some guests uneasy. The staff was very nice.

The hotel was as expected for the price. Certainly nothing special but a very convenient location just off I-95. Could use some updating but would stay here again.

Easy check in, amazing accommodations....I was afraid the rooms for dogs would smell. To my surprise, it was clean and smelled sanitized ! There were at least 5-6 other dogs at the hotel at the time we were there and I never heard one of them. There must have been good insulation or something. But better yet, the mattress was firm and perfect...an amazing room, great staff and perfect for my pet travel. Thank you!

A half hour fire alarm at 2:45 am was not explained although no fire trucks came. No answer from the front desk when we asked what was happening.
