  Comfortable accommodations

  The hotel room was clean, there was a kitchenette with appliances, dishes, flatware etc. Also, there was not a lot of noise and commotion in the hallway. The two front desk associates were friendly. The only drawbacks were the redecoration/construction on the first floor, and the “minefield” of dog deposits left by irresponsible owners on the designated dog area.

  Rooms very nice, but…

  Just a tiny piece of grass to walk my dog on…and construction on the entire first floor made everything somewhat appalling at the entry. And paper thin walls don’t help. At least it quiets down on the road at night.

  Easy off/on from I-81

  Acceptable for the money and proximity to the highway if driving through Harrisonburg VA.

  Convenient stopover

  We stayed with our teenage son and the family dog en route to Florida. Gentleman at reception was super helpful and room well suited for all of us. Convenient on and off from I-81 with plenty of amenities close by.

  Ok place for pets

  Friendly staff and a comfortable bed. Room was clean but a little shabby. Dedicated dog area was small and nasty from people not picking up after their pooches. There is a walking/bike path across the street from the hotel. It’s about a mile long. Not much scenery and runs along a busy street, but a great way to stretch your legs and burn off some puppy energy after a long travel day.

  Disappointing

  Dog walking area in poor condition with limited space. Lots of dog poop that owners had not cleaned up. Room in fair condition with very limited amenities. Price was right, but I guess you get what you pay for. Worth the extra money to go elsewhere.

  Rustic, but comfortable

  Friendly staff, and very pet friendly property. For the price the rooms could use a little updating and some TLC. Beds were comfortable. Food, snacks and drinks are available onsite and there are many restaurants nearby. Convenient to the interstate.

  Improvements could be made. We have used this motel for several and the maintenance has not been up to standards.

  Nice place to stay with pets

  Overall great place to stay with pets but if your pet gets antsy hearing noise from the hall this might not be a great fit. The hotel does a nice job of providing a decent dog walking area but a lot of guests fail to clean up after their pets despite the hotel providing trash cans and poop bags. The layout of the rooms gives plenty of space for pets to spread out or for you to set up a crate if needed.

  No Frills

  Clean rooms, dedicated pet station outside. Staff not particularly friendly or unfriendly. Just seems like it needs an upgrade/remodel.

  Comfy

  We were greeted warmly and our dog was offered treats at check in. We stayed one night and took advantage of the kitchen since we didn’t want to go out because of the virus. The room was comfortable and clean. It could use some updating but it had what we needed.
