Staff was very friendly but the hotel was not great. It did not look, feel or smell clean. The lighting in the room was very dim with only three lights with low light wattage bulbs. There were very few outlets and almost no places to charge a phone, laptop or iPad. TV was stuck on one channel, could not change it. Only one of the two elevators worked. The fridge had an ice block at the back of it so not much stayed cold. The ice machines were only functioning on 2 of the 4 floors. I could not change the temp in my room as the batteries on the thermostat had died - had to ask reception to fix that. All of the above took place on a one night stay. This hotel has potential but is not well maintained.

Our dog sampled 3 different types of pork for breakfast. He said the smoked apple sausage was an 11 on a scale of 1-10.

I was expecting the same quality I usually got in my previous stays at Hampton Inns. The room was on the first floor which was good for getting the dogs in and out, but the carpet in the room was dirty and looked like it had pee stains. The toilet was scratched in the bowl and it made it look dirty. There was human hair on the floor and in the tub. Ick. I should have moved but I was so tired and just went to sleep. I would not recommend this place.

I can’t say enough about the friendliness and support of all the staff. The check-in was smooth and the breakfast was perfectly laid out. But, I have never been in a Hampton when the bathroom floor was so dirty that when I put bath mat on it, it turned black.

We stayed twice and were always able to get a 1st floor room making it easier to get out dog outside. Plenty of potty area with bags and bins for disposal. Staff was wonderful as well as other pet parents. Would stay here again

I arrived at hotel at 11:30 pm and bed arrangement (2 beds) had been changed at 6:00pm with no notification so I was not able to make alternate arrangements. The day desk person made a manual room change and did not have the courtesy to call and notify me. Poor way to do business! I had to sleep on a sofa bed at 65 yrs old! It was the crappiest bed in the world. Also, room had no darkening shades so the Marriott sign next shined into the room all night long. Also. the sliding bathroom door does not stay closed so there is no privacy in the bathroom. Bad experience all around!

The hotel is right off the interstate and couldn’t have been easier to get to and check in. The staff is friendly and they love their k-9 guests as well. The small pet fee ($25) is extremely reasonable, especially for a large dog. We have stayed there twice now driving between NYC and Tennessee.

At first blush, not half bad. Bed comfortable, safe parking lot, nice evening staff. Not ideal with dogs, but not awful. Bottom line. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Several problems, compounded by rude, inept, unresponsive staff make this situation go from a mediocre rating to the lowest rating possible.
Empty water bottle on floor, suggests that room wasn’t carefully cleaned. No microwave. Definitely not ideal when traveling with pets. No TV remote—highly annoying, but evening staff found one. She offered to adjust my bill if I couldn’t get remote/TV to work. I managed to get the tv and remote to work together, so I didn’t follow up with night staff. (Evening staff was a Black woman, very friendly and helpful.) (Downside with dogs was clerk knocked on door, making dogs bark like crazy.)
Door didn’t close completely, but far enough that it looked closed. It didn’t latch. That was a huge security risk for myself, but also a risk that my dogs could have gotten loose. Thankfully, I noticed that before turning in for the night. Luggage cart does not really fit into room. Narrow hall allowed cart into the room (with dogs already in car) but cart hit mirror on the wall in hall area. This nearly resulted in wall mirror falling on me (or on my dogs if they had been in the room. I have a photo of the mirror hanging.)
After loading my car and having breakfast, I went to front desk spoke to a white woman, said I was ready to check out. Expected to be asked if everything was okay with my stay. I was not asked. So, I said I needed to report some issues. I took out my phone and read the list I had created. Told her about microwave, tv remote, water bottle, door not locking, and luggage cart/mirror. Morning desk person said something to the effect: ‘You are supposed to load those carts in the hall. You aren’t supposed to bring them in the room.’
I stepped out, took photos and looked all around the entryway after this first conversation. There were no signs saying anything about loading the cart in the hall. (If I hadn’t already brought my dogs to the car, they could have escaped if I had tried to go in and out of the room several times, or had left my door propped open, if I had tried to load up my belongings as morning clerk suggested.) I went back inside the hotel after taking photos and expressed my concern about morning clerk telling me I had ‘broken a rule’. She quickly told me she hadn’t said those words, and I pointed out it was still what she meant. I noted there were no signs in area where carts are kept (photos available).
I requested that my bill be adjusted, and morning clerk told me I had to contact BringFido to resolve the issue. So I called them. No, hotel has to be the party to adjust bill. BringFido contacted hotel and were told that they couldn’t adjust bill because there was no complaint on file from me. I made two separate visits to the hotel desk in the morning to register my complaints. I was polite but gave a detailed list of my concerns on my first visit. On my second visit, I was much more shaken.
All the problems (especially the door lock and the cart situation) were sufficient to adjust my bill. The rude treatment from the morning clerk, and her inability to follow policy by not recording my complaints, make this situation go from a mediocre rating to the lowest rating possible.
I have called the hotel and asked for the manager. I had to leave a message. I have not received a call back. I cannot recommend this hotel to BringFido or Tripadvisor users. I give it the lowest rating possible.

I’ve visited a fair amount of dog-friendly hotels and this one is a preferred destination for me and my furry friend. We visited on a Wednesday night; the room was clean and the traffic noise was light. It is a convenient location too.

It was a good stop for us for the value. Near gas and Starbucks for next morning. Not an overload of green space but plenty to get job done. We’ll stay again on our trip from Maine to Georgia next year!
