    Not great

    Very disappointed in this La Quinta hotel. Room smelled, carpet felt wet and looked awful. Tub was stained all on inside. Didn’t even want to stay but after a 14 hour drive we were exhausted and just stayed. Never again will we stay here.

    Great stop with our dog

    We were heading to the beach and were too tired to keep going. I jumped on BringFido and the La Quinta popped up. We had a very peaceful night. My dog even slept all night. The staff were great, very friendly and gave us some food delivery ideas. We will definitely stay there again.

    Convenient location

    Very easy to find. Loved that they allow up to two pets any size and did not have any pet fees added to the room rate. Could have been cleaner and could use some new furniture.

    Good location

    Good location if taking a road trip. Friendly staff. Room dated and smelly. Carpet ripped and old. Accent chair material was stained. Bathroom toilet and tub old. No plastic cups in washroom. Only good thing was the bed was ok.

    Not up to standard

    Room was dirty, we had bugs in the room. Called the front desk, no answer. Called again in the AM and the front desk person said “ thank you for letting us know” no apology or attempt to make it right. Would not recommend this property.

    Not up to any standard

    The room was disgusting. Carpet ripped, lamp broken, but worse of all the shower floor was gross. The elevator smelled like urine. I gave it one bone because the staff was nice.

    Not great

    Room was average, people at desk were friendly—but there was no breakfast, purportedly because of “Covid.” I have stayed at other places that had a server offering breakfast or, best of all, a takeout sack breakfast. It could have been fruit and yogurt. Felt like using Covid as an excuse.

    Average in every way

    We found La Quinta just adequate. The room had an unpleasant odor; the couch in it had not been cleaned of dog hair (we have a dog, so we understand the issue, but it should have been cleaned); there was a stain on one of the sheets on my bed, which my 11-year-old daughter noticed immediately.

    One might say that you get what you pay for, but we have paid less and been treated to more. We would not return.

    Probably won’t return

    The check in was easy and the lady was very nice. Our room appeared to be clean but I told the receptionist that there were two used washcloths on our shower rod. Also, there was a very strong perfume smell/odor in the bathroom/room. I think it was coming from the bathroom like a spray that was masking an odor. I told her that as well. I just ran the fan in the bathroom all the time. The room needed a facelift for sure.

    Strong smells

    Heavy use of cleaners but it made it difficult to breathe in the room. had to open the windows to get some air in. No remote in room, remote provided at front desk did not work. It was OK but won't stay here again.

    Clean Room

    room was very clean. King sized bed was comfortable. We had a room on the 3rd near the elevator. difficult falling asleep with people coming/going. Dog was restless and uneasy until things quieted down. bathroom was clean but faucet was loose, toilet seat falling off, bathroom door propped open with garbage can otherwise would close itself. WiFi not working. advertised free breakfast but no breakfast due to COVID-19.

    Great spot for Spot!

    Excellent hotel, hesitate to praise too highly as it’s already extremely popular with the doggy set. Clean comfortable room and a friendly staff. Loved it!

    Great location

    We loved this hotel. One minute off 95. Hotel room was modern with comfortable bed and big sofa to sit on. The tv channel selection was vast. The room was super clean. Check in was great with the receptionist being very nice and chatty. Will definitely use this hotel again.

    Great value for the price

    We stayed one night with our 3 small dogs. There are grassy areas to take your dogs to do their “business” with poop bags and trash cans. The front desk gal was friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We would stay there again.

    Worked for us!

    My dogs and I just had a quick, overnight stay while traveling south. The room was fine, and the area around the hotel had adequate areas to exercise the dogs before hitting the road again. I did appreciate the pickup bags and bins the hotel provided.

    Ok Place to stay

    We stayed for 1 night at this hotel with our 2 golden retrievers (both are certified therapy dogs). Check-in process was smooth, as was check-out. Our room was ok but it seemed in need of a remodel and update. The water pressure was nearly absent - we just got a slow trickle. The area surrounding the hotel was light industry - not a lot of grass for dog walking - but it was ok. There was a lack of restaurants in the area. All in all, it was an ok stay, but nothing great to report.

    Convenient, accommodating

    Big rooms, clean and quiet. Great place to bring large dogs. They do have poop bag station outside too. That's a plus. Not in the best neighborhood and rooms had an odd smell upon entering.

    Wonderful room

    La Quinta is the best dog-friendly hotel we have experienced. The room was sparkling clean, it smelled wonderful....no doggy odor. The carpet felt clean, not greasy like some hotels. No pet hair any where on the carpet. The bed linens are top notch; the bed was super comfy. The other dog guest families there were considerate of each other's space. The tile in the hallway and room was just as sparkling clean. I think we found our forever hotel!

    Comfortable and clean room. Quiet. Dog areas out front with doggie lean up bags provided. Easy check in and checkout. Saw lots of pet owners there

    A more rural location

    Perfect for us plenty of green space for the mastiffs we have very friendly staff clean room adequate parking the blue velvet sleeper couch was a little strange.

    Good dog friendly choice

    Quiet room . Clean . We had our 2 dogs. No problems. Ample space to walk them and easy access to poop pickup and disposal. A shame all dog owners aren't considerate . Poop not picked up and fair amount of litter. But clean safe and quiet were our main concerns and met.

    Great Location

    Needed a last minute place to stay while helping our daughter move to Richmond, Va. BringFido was easy to use, hotel was very accommodating considering our one night stay turned in to three(3).

    Pretty Good Spot

    Stayed here for 3 nights . Room size was great and fridge was nice and cold . Very dog friendly. Stayed here with two big dogs . Right off the I-95 so it was only 10 minutes to Pocahontas State park which was amazing. Staff was very friendly especially Heather at the front desk.

    Only complaint is the rooms are carpeted and always have a smell to me but I bring febreeze and it’s good.

    Currently under needed renovations. Bathroom had peeling wallpaper and holes in plaster. Easy access to I95. Beds were very comfortable. Due to coronavirus, no breakfast was available.

    A little overpriced but adequate

    This is an older La Quinta so the fixtures (sink, shower, etc) and furniture in the room are a little worn and the breakfast wasn’t the best of the La Quintas I’ve stayed in but was ok. Breakfast is a hot breakfast, more than a continental one. I liked how the room had a tile foyer with a door entering the bedroom for pets that maybe may have an accident. They can be kept in the foyer area. Less stressful for their parents. My little Houdini figured out how to open the outside door and was running in the hall. A nice couple sat with her after alerting the front desk, who found me eating breakfast and were very nice. I felt no judgment!

    OK for a night.

    This is an old motel on the way back. It is undergoing renovations and not yet back up to La Quinta's usual standards but it's not too bad now.

    Super convenient

    Right off I95. We had a room on the first floor across from exit door so easy to take our dogs out. Very friendly staff. Found a great restaurant online that delivered.

    Booked same room for our return trip.

    Very Pet Friendly!

    Our stay was was great as pet owners, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Since they are pet friendly rooms, I did expect some wear on the finishings, and that wasn’t an issue for us. Staff was very friendly, grass area was very clean. I am giving a four out of five rating only due to a couple of minor things. The elevator is very slow and old, but gets the job done. Also, if you are sensitive to smells, the lobby had a VERY strong perfume/air freshener smell at night, so just be prepared for that. However, the rooms did not have that issue, which was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you need a stop with your pets.
