  The worst place I’ve ever stayed in!

  Right from the start, the room was deplorable! I would have Ava difficult time giving it even 1 bone! The bathroom tub had debris from a ceiling patch job that had fallen apart. Towels that could not even cover your face to use for your entire body. No hot water until you ran the faucet for at least 10 minutes. Bedspread with cigarette holes. Pillows that were flat as a pancake. Noise level outside with other tenants smoking weed. I could go on and on! We expected to get a restful sleep after driving for 10-12 hours but did not. Please remove this hotel from your list.

  No hot water

  The room was clean and spacious, but we had no hot water. There is no coffee maker in the room and no coffee in the lobby. Very basic accommodations. And they charged $10 for the dog.

  Don’t go there

  This place is awful!! The vinyl floors are coming up, the mattresses are old and hard. There was a blood stain on one of the bedspreads and the smoke alarm had been torn off the wall. There are many long term guests who appear to be down on their luck.

  So much is not good at this Travelodgge

  First room was a distaster...holes in the wall, dirty walls, grimy bathroom, I went to the office to say I would cancel my reservation rather than stay in that room. They gave me another room to look at , it was so-so. I was tired and it was cold and dark outside. But there was no blanket for the bed, so they gave me one. The next morning I noticed there was no bath soap or shampoo so I had to go back to the office to get that. I also told them there was no trash can for the room. It took 2 days to get that. I needed a hair dryer and they found one, so dirty I had to wash it myself. I told them I had washed it when I returned it. The exterior looks fine, esp. at night, nice blue lights and the landscaping in the driveway is also nice.

  The office entry is clean, but spartan. Rooms are old, the one new item was the toilet. Furnture was ratty, tv did not work and there were no instructions. I finally figured it out the 3rd day. Another customer who was likely drunk, sped through the entire (circular) driveway and nearly hit several peope and their dogs. Speeding had to exceed 50 mph. The police were called, but the car had disappeared and no one got the license number. The next morning I saw the car parked in the lot and told the day time staff. He had no idea there had been an emergency call to the police the night before. Because they don't ask for customer's license plates, he did not know which room/person owned that vehicle and said he would try to talk to the driver and call the police. I took photos of the car and license plate because I was leaving the state that moring to return home. I will call the police tomorrow to see what actually happened.

  On the plus side, it's not a bad location, although you can hear highway noise. My door locked, but did notfit well inthe door frame so the cold wind blew into the room. the heater worked but was very loud. Microwave was dirty inside and fridge was not very cold. Bedding looked old and stained.

  A friend did some research on this place after I told him about it. Later he said: do you know you are staying in the lowest rated motel in Roanoke? I did not.

  Dog run was nice, but no poop bags. Trash bags and other debrs around the outside of the hotel and in the dog run,. I picked some upandput in the trash can.

  Best part? we saw a local ground hog each day on the dog run. Pup was thrilled!

  I would not recommend staying here, although the older fellow and the young woman and even the young man helping thes desk staff were all friendly and helpful. But the place is a mess.

  Cigarette burns on bed comforter

  Not very clean place. Shoddy patch work on walls. Very noisy kids crying and running their bicycles up and down the hall.

  Do Not Stay at This Place!

  If it were possible to give zero bones, I would do that. This place is in terrible condition. The furniture in our room was broken or had with torn upholstery, the bedding was badly worn, the baseboards were pulling away from crumbling drywall in places, and the tile on the shower ledge was coming loose in chunks. The floor was dirty and the air conditioner barely worked. Had we not arrived late and exhausted, we would not have stayed. Just slept a few hours and left. The only good thing that can be said is that the motel is, as advertised, dog friendly.

  This hotel should be closed. Filthy, run down, everything broken. Towels yellowed. Take your dog somewhere else.

  Please no.

  The check in was easy and staff friendly but the rooms were awful! Our first room was a no smoking room which we did request but it REEKED of cigarettes and there was burned hole in the bed spread. we asked to switch and the staff was accommodating and understanding. we were given another room. It didn’t smell of smoke but wasn’t any cleaner then the other room. If you have any sense of cleanliness do not stay here. Spend the extra $30 for a better hotel and have the comfortable sleep we didn’t have. Also not a great location I would have left this hotel and found a better that night if I had my children traveling with me

  When we arrived at the hotel it did not seem to bad, the lady at the front desk was very nice. Then we got into the room, it was filthy!!!!! The room smelled awful, the comforters had holes, and the bathroom was at another level of gross. On the back side of the bathroom door was brown smears which I could only imagine what the was since the toilet was almost touching the door, and the walls outside the bathroom had spots. So I went to the front desk and told her about the mess, she switched us rooms. The next one was “cleaner” but still nasty!!! So we went back to the desk and refused to stay there. Got a room at a days inn. Much nicer. I would give this place a negative rating but it won’t let me.

  Alicia was a big help

  We had a few issues during our stay and Alicia did a great job addressing them, including gicing us a room where our dog had easy access to grass and a short walk to the car. Great location ang great Mexican restaurant next door.

  Basic at best

  Very good with dog (not scared of my pittie) but the first room we went into was very smokey, despite being non-smoking. They quickly moved us over a room. The rooms are very basic and not very clean. The TV did not work.

  Awesome!

  VERY clean motel...the room smelled good and the beds were comfy enough. The floor was hardwood which would make it easy clean up should your dog have an accident. Staff was very friendly. There is a Waffle House right down the block. For $50/night you can't beat it! I would definitely stay there again!! The only thing I would change to give it 5 bones is a continental breakfast or something along with the coffee and tea they serve.
