  Just Ok!

  This was an older hotel, rooms were “tired," and no place for pets to exercise! The pet form they have you sign upon check-in stated that pets were not to be left alone but when a dog continually barks every time someone walks by the room they are in, they are either left alone or the owner doesn’t stop it! We’ll look for another pet friendly hotel in the same area when we pass through again.

  The reservation was seamless. Staff was great, rooms were clean and plenty of space for Fido! They have a great green area for your pup and it’s well lit at night. Would highly recommend.

  It was just ok. It took along time to get checked in due to new staff member. Then she gave us a room that was already occupied -- our surprise once we opened the door. Thankfully they weren't in their room. Then once we got our room keys, they didn't work, so we had to go back to the counter once again! Beds were alright and shower wasn't that hot.

  The best thing about this place was the staff. While interactions were brief, they were pleasant. The place is just dirty. The light switches were full of gunk and most of the touch surfaces were sticky and dirty. I realize that certain rooms are designated “pet rooms” but the moment we walked in, we noticed a smell. Likely the carpet as it was pretty stained. It’s a highway stop and likely not concerned about repeat business so I guess it stands to reason. Why should they care? Nasty.

  A nice room

  I made a reservation by calling the Best Western 1-800 number. I asked for a room including my dog and to use my points but when I showed up at the hotel there was never any record of my requests. When I did get checked in my key cards didn’t work. My television also did’t work but a maintenance man fixed the key card issue and he fixed the tv. I don’t think that I will stay at this hotel again.

  Great pet friendly hotel

  Had a great stay with no extra pet fee, they had indoor pool, and a great breakfast room that had the coolest small automatic pancake making machine. Hotel was well staffed and very attentive. Will go back anytime I am near Staunton!

  Clean room and reasonable breakfast. If you have a dog that barks be aware that there is a $150 fee if someone complains. If you have a quiet dog you won’t have any problems.

  Pleasant stay

  A very friendly, helpful woman at the desk made my dog and me feel very welcome. She even gave him a treat! Comfortable, clean room. Ask for a room away from the tracks; though mine was on the track-side and it wasn’t a problem; only one train came by that I heard.

  Friendly Greeting

  Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly woman at he counter who checked us in and even gave Archie a treat. Room was clean and had an area behind the building to walk the dog.

  The accommodations for our pet was without error. It's stressful traveling with pets and the ease of checking in, having an area for them to potty and stay is priceless. No upfront pet fees and supplied poop bags is appreciated. Would stay again and recommend. Only there for one night, but it was clean and met our needs. Cracker Barrel right next door and other restaurants within range. Staff was nice and accommodating. Slept thru breakfast😶. It was quiet.

  Comfy stay and canine friendly

  The Best Western in Staunton provides easy access to go outside, a well-lighted relief area and bags, if you don't bring your own. Very warm welcome to our pup and us, quiet comfortable room, good location for an overnight stopover for us.

  Had a refrigerator and microwave. Would have preferred a room without carpeting. Hotel was quiet. Dog relief area could have had a little more lighting for nighttime. Would stay here again.

  This has to be one of the best that we have stayed at. Staff was very friendly. Everything was clean,clean clean! We are used to hearing people walking, doors closing and some highway noise but not here. There was absolutely no noise at all! We will definitely put this one on our list of the best places to stay.

  Nice and clean, nothing fancy

  The front desk worker was super friendly and they even gave my dog a treat upon check-in. Room was nice and clean, but did smell of dogs. I doubt they have cleaned the carpets in awhile. There is a back area for taking your dog outside, but warning, take your room key with you or you will get locked out! Also, if you’re out there at night, bring a flashlight and maybe some pepper spray. It’s a bit questionable on security where the dog area is. Otherwise, good experience, especially for the cost.

  Our 2nd time staying here based on our 1st experience. Pet friendly, close to the interstate. Food delivery & gas near by. Nice room, comfortable bed. Friendly staff. This will be our 1st choice stop as we travel south/north with our dog twice a year.

  Bow-Wow Wonderful

  Having read the 5 bone reviews, and knowing we’d be traveling through Staunton, I was hoping it would live up to its hype.
  What an amazing hotel. Easy on/off of I-81, great parking, beautiful grounds- and the room was first floor convenient. Super clean, large, and very comfortable rooms.
  I wish every dog -friendly hotel owner/manager would come here and use this operation as a role model.

  Always a great stay

  This was the 7th time we've stayed at the BW Staunton Inn and it was as good as always. Nothing fancy, just a decent clean room for a very good price (no extra charge for up to two dogs!), quiet location, easy access to I-81, a short drive into town where there's a broad range of good places to eat (or get take-away under the current conditions), and always very friendly and helpful staff. I wish I could say the above for more places that we stay. Highly recommended if these are the features you're looking for.
