What a lovely place to stay with our two dachshunds! The room is set up with a nice bathroom and sleeping area in 2/3 of the space opening to a kitchenette area and a door opening to the beach side, allowing for an easy exit when the dogs needed to go outside on leash to “do their business!”

The rooms were spacious, but dated, and pretty clean, so that was the positive. The negatives were that the AC did not work (it was blowing hot air), & when I tried to call the front desk, the phone did not work, so I walked down to ask the clerk to send a maintenance man over. Three hours later, nothing had happened, so I headed back to the desk, and the clerk clearly knew what was about to happen as I asked where the tech was & that it had been over 3 hours since I made the first request. The maintenance tech had no clue how to fix an AC unit; he just told me the settings were set to the lowest temperature possible.
I pointed out it was warm air coming from the unit, and he just looked at me like a brook trout. I asked for some box fans, which he got us, so at least we could open the window. We were on the ground floor, so it wasn’t real safe since the public parking lot is within walking distance of the room. If the AC had worked, I would have overlooked the dated decor and a few minor things (toilet ran, etc). Do not recommend.

The hotel is old and nothing fancy but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room was huge! It had a kitchenette and fireplace and pullout couch along with our king bed. We were on the first floor with East access to this pet yard for potty breaks. Access to the beach was next to the hotel. Pet friendly restaurants are walking distance.

The dog friendly rooms are on the first floor. You won't get the view of the beach for this reason, although you will get a nice grassy area outside of your sliding glass door of your room. That was really convenient. All of the staff working here were very friendly. It was so nice to be that close to the beach. You can drive on to the beach, which is nice. We loved our stay and so did our dog!

stayed 2 nights with my two pugs. the room was more than enough. the pet area is large. the room did NOT smell like animals. lots of parking great area to walk your pets. safe and clean.

Shilo Inn, Ocean Shores was great from the room to the service! Rooms were ground floor with a back door to the pet area. Very Convenient. Front desk Since was great as well; it's always great when they will love dogs.
