  Friendly staff

  Quite a big place. All dogs and parents are in rooms on one corridor - nice! Dog grassy area could be a bit bigger. There are other grassy areas that could be used but signs say no dogs. I rated a four for that reason and rooms a bit tired, but clean!

  If you like smoke

  The hotel claims to be smoke free. The hallway reeks of pot and our room smelled like a chain smoker was in there still. Walls definitely need a good wash or paint. Won’t stay here again.

  Cigarette smell everywhere

  Awesome front desk manager even though I checked in after midnight. But the smell of cigarettes was everywhere. In the morning,Maid smoked cigarette after cigarette right by one of the entrances.

  Stay away!

  The room was dirty, no info book, front desk didn't have a menu for their attached restaurant, room phone didn't work. They gave us the wrong password for the wi-fi & on top of that - the toilet wouldn't flush. Oh yeah and maintenance never showed up.

  Good location

  The room was sad, smelled like cigarettes even though it was a non smoking room. Every time the air conditioner came on the air was worse. Checkout was noon but breakfast was only till 9am. Room was by an exit which was nice for taking the dog out. Would we stay there again? Probably not.

  Keep on driving

  Very outdated rooms. Old very stained carpet; I would not recommend walking on it barefoot! Also no hot water. I gave 2 bones because the front desk guy was pleasant.

  Room near exit

  It was fine except we were put in a room by the entry/exit door and all night my girls were barking due to noise.

  Great Location!

  Stayed overnight. Loved the room. More than enough space for 2 humans and 1 big and 1 small dog! Grass areas well marked. Food at the restaurant was fabulous, but lots of choices close if you don’t want to eat there. Don’t forget to check out the free breakfast in the morning!

  Nice hotel, very clean, good beds and pillows. Nice green space out back for your pup. Decent price.

  Ok for a last minute stopover

  The room was mediocre at best. Seemed clean enough, but very dated and super old/uncomfortable beds. The dog walk area was big, but was behind a small out building and NOT lit at night. It was very dark and I did not feel safe taking my dog out at night.

  Beckley WV stopover

  We stopped for the night on a drive north, arriving after 9pm. Our room was ready and easy to access, ground level from the rear parking lot. Two tired pups and people had a good night’s rest! The hotel had a nice big grassy spot out back for the pups and was walking distance to several restaurants for the people.

  Eh

  Had reservations for a pet-friendly room but they seemed surprised at the front desk when I checked in. They said they didn’t have one available. It was late, I was tired and I’m sure my face looked like I was about to lose it so they gave me a room on the second floor, which meant lugging crate, puppy, luggage up a flight of stairs. Hotel and room were ok, but my puppy found multiple items on the floor and under the bed… a sock, a pair of underwear, a couple bottle caps and a pill of some kind!! Dog area was hard to find and loaded with poop. For a place to sleep it was fine, but I won’t be staying there on my way home.

  Stopped here after two other places looked a little sketchy! Two big dogs, zero questions asked by front desk who also gave us a AAA discount!

  The front desk clerk was so helpful! After a long day of driving, I had booked online for the wrong date. 😳 She was very friendly and kind, and she was able to book me for that night. The room was clean and comfortable, exactly what I needed after being on the road all day.

  Had a very restful night at this hotel. Restaurant staff very friendly. Great to have a place to eat right in the hotel.

  Clean and Friendly!!!

  The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, the pet-accessible rooms were along a hallway easily accessible by 2 different exterior doors. This section of the hotel appeared to be a former smoking section of the hotel based on the smell in the hallway (though that could have been smokers standing right outside the door), but the rooms were clean, fresh smelling, and appeared to have been remodeled in the last few years. The only reason I didn't give 5 bones was that the dog relief area was not as well lit as I would have preferred for that last trip out before bedtime. The lights were on the opposite side of a garage-like structure that blocked most of the dog relief area from light. We also were not charged a dog fee which was an added bonus!!!!!

  Flea bag hotel

  The free breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable. However, the carpet was soiled, the room smell smacked you as you walked in, and almost immediately I had fleas jumping on me.

  Great for stop-over

  Close to freeway. Designated dog area away from traffic. Clean. The only minus was the housekeeping staff coming around before 9am and knocking once and opening door! It wasn’t even check-out time yet! And give me more than 30 seconds to respond to your knock before opening the door!!

  Very Pet Friendly!

  We were just passing through so only stayed one night. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They gave us a first floor room right by the outside door. Pet green space was cleaner than most and a big area. Would stay again if in the area.

  Great location

  Easy on/off. Excellent service from check in. Pet Rooms have their own exit adjacent to doggy walk. We had 3 small dogs and two cats and were only charged $25.00 total for all. Nice place, good service, decent price.

  Road trip overnight

  The hotel was convenient - less than .25 mile from interstate. There were several places to eat nearby and a restaurant/bar in hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. There were several others with dogs staying. Dogs and I enjoyed our stay.

  Bed choices

  The only reason I gave a 4 is due to beds. I booked a King bed but when I checked in I was informed there are no pet rooms with King beds. All pet rooms have 2 double beds. In reality, it didn’t make any difference to me other than the principality. I would suggest taking the choice off the website.

  Just ok

  Overall the hotel was clean and ok. The dog rooms were in the back of the hotel by the pet walking area so that was convenient. Unfortunately the pet rooms are only 2 double beds and we asked for at the minimum a queen. I didn't know hotels had double beds anymore! Plus the staff was not real friendly.
