We checked into two rooms recently and both had an overwhelming dog urine odor that literally hit you in the face as soon as you walked in. We checked in very late otherwise we would have left and went elsewhere. I can’t believe they would even have rooms that disgusting let alone put guests in them. So gross and probably a health hazard. Not sure how this place has good reviews on here.

Room smelled pretty bad when we first got there - open windows and doors helped a lot! Still could use a good deep clean. The breakfast bar was pretty sad - cardboard pancakes and undrinkable coffee. The staff was super friendly and Evanston was super nice!

Older hotel but kept up with modern amenities. Nice large room but old carpeting. I prefer the newer laminate floors in hotels. The on-site restaurant has a good menu for dinner and breakfast. It was quiet and comfortable.

This motel is really impressive. Great spaces for walking dogs and the rooms are “roomy” enough for two crates. The staff were all exceptionally friendly and the room was quiet. Having a restaurant on site is a real bonus.

This was a great location for dogs. Great green space and as an old motel, all doors were to outside. No hallways to walk the pup through. Room quality wasn’t quite up to par with other Best Westerns, but the bed was comfy & the restaurant/lounge were the best in town.

Finding a place to eat while you’re traveling with dogs isn’t always the easiest thing to do. This inn has a restaurant that does carry out - and the chicken breasts and vegetables were pretty good. Walmart is close and on the way there, we saw four large deer in the front yard of a downtown home. Pretty neat experience all in all.

It was 9 degrees when we arrived so we didn’t do much outdoor exploring but we could the beauty of the grounds. The room was large with king bed, sofa, loveseat, coffee table, desk, refrigerator, microwave - and very cozy and warm. Friendly staff, great free breakfast buffet - would definitely stay again.

We traveled across the country and stayed at mostly Best Westerns along the way. This one was by far my favorite! I loved the layout of this hotel; the dog areas were easy to access and large (with waste stations). My son stayed with the dogs and my husband and I checked out the bar… fun atmosphere, good drinks, and karaoke! And the beds were actually comfortable! Definitely recommend!! (And I highly recommend making a reservation at Bon Rico steakhouse if you’re passing through!!) 😁

The rooms were clean, the property was quiet and there were green spaces scattered throughout for potty spots. The restaurant attached had a free breakfast buffet for guests that was quite good. We would stay again if we were passing through.

The Best Western Dunmar Inn is what is usually called a motor inn. This was probably a nice place in the 1950s, but it is in real need of an update. There are 165 rooms spread out over a large property, but most of the guests seemed to be concentrated in one section of the motor inn. Not a bad place for your dog. There is a middle school next to the property where you can walk your dog. Restaurant choices were limited. A lot of the places in the town seemed like they were permanently closed.

We were traveling with a dog and 2 cats that we split between 2 rooms. The bathroom area that closed behind the door was a little small for our 2 cats, their food, water and litter boxes. Otherwise the hotel was fine. Dog area was easy to find and use. My parents weren't thrilled with the free breakfast and felt that the eggs were fries out and overcooked. Otherwise it was good.

Hotel was OK for a one overnight stay. The dog area was nice however, there were a lot of people who didn't pick up after their pets so you had to really watch where you were walking. It was a 98 degree day when we arrived and the air conditioner in our room never really worked. We sweated all night long, even the dog panted most of the night. Shower control was awful and overall the room really need some type of upgrade to the appearance. I would not stay here again.

Our room included the king bed option. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The lovely grassy area is conveniently located and equipped with poo bags should you need them. There was parking right outside the room. Bed was supportive and comfortable. Continental breakfast was served in dining room with COVID precautions. Breakfast included eggs, sausage or bacon, hash browns and toast or an oatmeal option with your choice of drinks. Your order could even be made to go. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. 24-hour front desk made checking in and out quick and it is convenient for late check-ins. The hotel has prohibition history which is great to read about. Could not have asked for a better experience.

My husband and I were pleased with our Single King room despite it showing some age. Hot Water took over 10 minutes to appear which delayed our getting on the road the next morning. Still, our 68-lb Lab/Pit mix loved the location especially seeing elk during a walk at the back of the property.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room is a good size, but had a strange smell to it. The restaurant "Legal Tender" was still offering take out and the meal was very good.

Room was updated. Place to walk our dog. Very clean! Didn’t smell like someone else’s dog. Staff was great! We will stay again! We didn’t have the breakfast because is was in another building and didn’t want to leave our dog.

Really enjoyed this place. Seemed like an Inn rather than a Best Western. Enjoyed the classic style decor in the dining room for the breakfast buffet that was included. Clean, comfy bed. Would definitely stay again.

Great friendly, helpful staff! Great doggie areas! Hotel room was spacious and clean. Traffic noise was a little bothersome at night as our room was close to the highway. It’s an old hotel and could use some updating but that doesn’t stop it from being a nice place to stay.

Ok layout, decent room size and a bit of a patch of grass with bags and bin for dog business. Room a bit musty/smokey smelling for a non smoking room. Looked better than others that would have been on the motel side rather than hotel for the area, and good they accept multiple big dogs. Slightly confused by phone in bathroom but was good for a bonus chuckle. Stuffed animal collection in reception is an interesting experience!

My family & I plus my fur baby stayed here as a last minute decision after a place that was so terrible that we had to leave. Best Western was very accommodating. We had a room with 2 king size beds and everything was clean and in top working order. There's also a gift shop, pool/spa, restaurant and bar on site (no outdoor dining so we had to take turns to stay with my dog at breakfast time). If I pass through Evanston, WY again, I'll definitely stay here again!
