Shady! This is “secret” cat hiding spot so you can find your cat

This photo was taken at La Quinta by Wyndham St. Augustine in St. Augustine, FL. I had to pay for an extra night after I couldn’t find my cat when I wanted to check out. I immediately notified desk clerk, & some of the maid staff. I was told the NEXT DAY all desk clerks know about this “secret” hiding spot (a tiny spot under the sink) but [desk clerk] never told me. [The desk clerk] DID ask me if I lifted up my box spring & mattress to check for my cat in the bed frame which I did (I have gray hair, wrinkles but I did it). I asked their maid to check in the bed frame while I lifted but no cat there.
At 10:50 AM, [the desk clerk] told me I missed check out time (which is 11 AM) so if I needed to stay another night, I needed to come to the front desk. [The desk clerk] told me she checked me out of my room so I needed to check in again, I suspect so I had to pay a higher room rate.
