Just North of the awesome drive “Avenue of the Giants” in Fortuna, CA is Eel River Brewing, a great restaurant/brewery that gets bonus points for being dog friendly! Perfect relaxing outdoor seating, lovely vibes and tasty beer. They’ve got an incredible Reuben sandwich, we’d recommend upgrading your fries to get “the works” with garlic and cheese on top. We’ve been here before, last time we came through the redwoods, glad we stopped again. We will definitely be back again next time we’re in the area!
