This photo was taken at Blue Beach in North Kingstown, RI.
We brought our pup here on a Wednesday around 2PM. We had to wait for a minute for a free, legal parking space, but after our short time on the beach, several spots were open. The walk from the small lot (fits maybe 20 vehicles, including 2 handicap spaces) is about 2-3 minutes on a shaded and hard-packed gravel path to a small sandy beach. Lots of families and dogs on-leash. We may or may not have taken our dog to the very end where no one was and played fetch with two stick in the water off-leash under good control (back on leash when it was time to walk back to the vehicle). We will definitely be back!
There is a station at the parking lot for dog bags, but it was empty, so be sure to bring your own. There were several trash cans and two portapotties that were in usable shape.
There were about 10 cars parked illegally on the street (I didn’t see tickets on them, but there is clear signage). There is no legal street parking, and parking in other lots is prohibited.
