Beautiful Joe Park

This photo was taken at Beautiful Joe Park in Meaford, ON. Visit the gravesite of Canada's most famous dog in this 8.5 acre park that celebrates the animal / human bond. His story of rescue is went viral starting back in 1893 when a novel was published written i his own voice. Beautiful Joe (the novel) was the first Canadian book to sell more than a million copies! Park walking tours can be arranged through the Beautiful Joe Heritage Society or do a self guided walk tour around the loop being sure to read all the sign posts throughout.
