I’ve been trying to find new places to take my dog to for day play because if I go out of town and can’t bring my dog then I will need to board her. So I looked in this place and made an appointment to have her stay for half a day of play. When I got there I was handed some papers to fill out (no big deal) but a lot of the papers were about them (Doggy District) not having liability if my dog gets sick or hurt. Then while I was sitting and doing my paper work I can here the groomer being very rude. Talking about how she has so many dogs to groom and she’s not going to wait around for other people if they don’t know if they want a groom yet today. But one think that struck me as odd was that when I was finishing up my paper work one of the works had two dogs, off leash, walking around the front lobby and when he noticed I was there her got scared and told me he was sorry and hurried them back into the other room. When I finished I was told I can leave but I asked if I can take a tour (I was told I can take one when I made the appointment) she was shocked that I wanted to take one. We went into the big dog play area and it smelled to bad like urine and feces. When I looked out a window to see the big dog play group it was not much bigger than a small back yard, plus the window looked like it has not been clean for weeks! She took me to were they kennel the dogs and they were the tinniest kennels. My dog has a bigger kennel at home and she’s 37lbs! Also there are kennels in top of the floor kennels and when I asked how do they get them up there she replied with they have a ramp they use. I was shocked that they would let dogs sleep in suck tinny kennels and had to put big dogs in kennels that are higher than me! (I’m 5’3) I left with more questions than answers. When I got home I looked into Doggy District and found out that they have a lot of unhappy customers. I rushed over and picked up my dog, she’s seemed like she had fun but I wouldn’t go back unless I had to.
