    Hands of Hope Rescue

    We are a licensed, non-profit 501c3 canine rescue dedicated to helping save the lives of dogs in desperate situations such as being in high kill shelters and owner surrenders from Kansas and surrounding states. We have a network of volunteers that help with transporting dogs to our approved foster or adoptive homes, and we welcome out of state adoptions after a successful home and reference check. We are a new rescue so we are in need of foster homes in Kansas. Please contact us or fill out a foster home application. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please fill out the adoption application. If you are surrendering a dog, please contact us and we will send you an owner surrender form. Saving dogs from shelters usually costs hundreds of dollars per dog, and many dogs we save are in poor health with parasites such as heartworms. We appreciate any donations towards our efforts!       Rescue owner was very rude

      I was surprised by the lack of professionalism of the owner of this rescue. She was unnecessarily rude to a person I know who was trying to adopt one of her dogs. I run a business myself and occasionally I’ve had people refuse to pay me for my services which is very similar to stealing from me and I have not talked to them the way she talked to her. I wonder if her blunt and rude way of talking to people may affect the ability of the dogs in her rescue to find homes. All I can say is make sure she doesn’t think you are lying to her about anything.
