At Under My Wing Avian Refuge we give tormented parrots a home with compassion and hope. Most birds not only are given or sent to shelters once but they have been re-homed, re-adopted over and over. They simply lost their human home and their natural homes are being destroyed by deforestation or smuggling – dogs and cats are easy to feel but the plight of parrots and their long lifetime makes their long term care and survival as species almost insurmountable. In New Jersey our sanctuary is the only refuge to help these parrots live out their life permanently and safely with professional parrot care for their well being.
