It seems the staff is not trained nor did they understand the IMPORTANCE of administering medication. We did pay extra for the service but they admittedly were not able to restrain & swipe the ear of an under 8 lb, 15 yr old cat with hyperthyroid disease. The lady that checked us out was pretty impressed with the staff that they were able to break an over the counter glucosamine tablet in half & place in the food bowl. I think she believed that should have justified the $2 med up-charge. Her comment to the hotel manager "I told them the truth" was extremely bothersome & we're still trying to get past that add comment . Because of the possibility of NOT telling the truth about our pets care, charging for services not rendered, & failing to provide medication our pet required, we will not use the PestSmart hotel services again.
Also, the repercussions of their failure to give the medication sent us to the vet for blood work & med adjustment which cost more than the pet hotel charges.
