The store is always clean when i come in, there is always someone there to greet me with a friendly hello. I am glad to say that i have not experienced any "confusing" price signs. There are times where they do not have my dog food on the shelf but the customer service seems to be in order as they always find a way to resolve the issue! thanks guys! one more bone if you had my dog food in stock all the time!

misleading sale prices
I visited the South Dade-Miami store because of their sale on Purina's Pro-Plan dog food. Once I located the specific aisle and shelf, I observed that a large white, rectangular price sign was chipped on the shelf edge directly under the specific food I desired to purchase - 34 lb. bag, large dog, shredded blend. The signage indicated $40.59 w/ Rewards Points. Great!
I arrive to the register and the cashier rings up $42.99 ( w/ points). I kindly explain the sign indicates $40.59. She disagrees and calls the Manager.
After waiting for an additional five minutes, a 'Nicole' arrives. I explain my predicament. She performs a price check and returns stating the dog food is clearly marked $42.99.
Since I already wasted enough time with the cashier, I reluctantly agreed to pay.
Once paid, I walked back to the aisle and sure enough, the sign is marked $40.59. I removed the sign, walked back to the Manager and presented it to her. She then says "Oh, that price is for overweight dogs".
I then stated why she didn't explain that in the first place. Naturally, I got that confused look.
I walked out of the store aggravated at this Manager, and the deceptive advertising Petco uses-clearly 'bait & switch'. Why can't the bags be properly marked 'sale' instead of subjecting the customer to this confusing pricing? Isn't the 'overweight' blend of dog food more expensive? Yet, I paid more for the conventional product.
Very disappointed in your advertising tactics and the inability of your store personnel to explain the pricing.
