  These guys are awesome

  I've been taking my dog Carmen here for the better part of a year. She always comes home happy and tired, which is great. She knows when her days are to go and she wakes up raring to get there. There might be a group of individuals more caring somewhere in the Denver area, but I sure haven't found it. Justin and the crew are simply awesome. They bend over backward to accommodate customers like no other business I've ever seen. As long as I have a dog it will spend its daycare days at Bear Creek Pet Resort.

  I have used and will continue to use this facility. One persons bad experience is not a representation of this business. I have interacted with the owner many times and pride my judgement of character. Stop by check the place out and judge for yourself

  Horrifying Experience

  The most horrifying experience I've ever had in 30 years of dog ownership.
  Come to pickup our dogs one day eary thankfully. Ask if everything went ok and was told everything went great. Dogs are happy to see us and we are happy to see them.

  Get in the car and our dogs are not acting normal. Turn on the lights and see blood everywhere on one of our dogs. Collar was covered in blood. Immediately notice that his ear was split and hacked back together but still actively bleeding.

  Call them to see what happened because everything obviously didn't go great. Calls back yes a Rottweiler split your dogs ear at 2:30. What was done to repair his ear?? They didn't know. Was he given pain meds or anything? They didn't know.

  First of all not notifying us when the incident occurred is not acceptable but apparently their policy is to only notify when it is life threatening. So don't expect a call unless your beloved dog is dead or dying. Secondly for them to have no record of any corrective vet treatment is absurd.

  Lastly which is the true indicator of how this business is run and the character of its owners. They saw no problem with us picking our dogs up and finding them left limping and bleeding with huge open wounds on them. To quote the owner "I disagree that we have handled this poorly. It was not life threatening and I figured you were on a plane". Top notch care there.

  Stay far far away if you care about your dogs.

  UPDATE: Just got back from our vet where our dog remains because he has to get stitches. Our vet was SHOCKED and couldn't believe we weren't notified. They agreed that getting an ear split in half does not classify as "going great".

  The wound requires numerous stitches and Bear Creek Pet Resort's approach of simply rubbing super glue on it wouldn't do anything except delay the healing. Which is what Bear Creek Pet Resort decided should be the best course of action despite "not capable of providing extensive vet care." These decisions should be made by pet owners and licensed vets. But as told numerous times by the owner Gunner that is not their policy because the wound was not life threatening.

  Bear Creek Pet Resort is NEGLECTFUL for not contacting me, not seeking appropriate medical care, and not giving me the opportunity to make any decisions on the matter. I'm pretty sure I paid for my dogs to be cared for and not neglected.

  These guys are great

  I was a little apprehensive about leaving my little guy, Bam Bam, for a 10-day trip. But after meeting Gunner and Dru and seeing how they cared for the other dogs and a cat, I knew these were the guys for me. They told me they would treat Bam Bam like he was their own and they sure did. When I pulled up to pick him up, I could see through the window that Dru was sitting on the couch with Bam Bam in her lap. I can't say enough good things about these guys and you can bet I'll be back the next time I need to travel.
