  Worst than a nightmare

  When you leave you beloved pet at a kennel the last thing that should ever happen !!!!! would be for the fencing to have a whole in it and for your pet to be hit by a car!!! Right? Well that's what happened to my friend's sweet 2 year old 6 pound Yorkie last weekend. Come to find out there was a broken part of the fence for years that they were well aware of. COMPLETE AND UTTER NEGLIGENCE! Nothing will bring back that dog, nothing will repair the terrible loss they have and will endure, but LUCKY DOG needs to be shut down. This was a completely preventable tragedy.

  this business has changed their policies but their website is not reflective of this. I’d suggest calling and discussing exactly what you’re needing to see if they can accommodate. they only provide daycare to members, not tourists. they have strict policies regarding boarding, drop off/pick up times and holiday fees.

  Wonderful staff

  I have two pups who aren’t the leave at home alone type. We wanted to tour The Breakers and Marble House so we used Lucky Dog. Staff clearly knew what they were doing - asked for all the right things, let us know the process ahead of time, everything ran like clockwork, and they really did a great job with the pups. The location is about 15 minutes away from Newport, so easy to get to things - and the gas station on the way there was much cheaper than anyplace else we’d seen!

  Great Care, Great Price And Very Accomodating

  Lucky Dog was a life saver over a holiday weekend during the COVID crisis! Laurie was able to fit us in on a a Sunday. She was very careful to follow social distancing guidelines for drop off %26 pick-up while giving attention to our dog and explaining the day’s schedule of activities. We felt at ease leaving Molly there and were pleasantly surprised to receive a text message with pictures of Molly having fun in the baby pool. we are so happy with the care she received and the price was great. we will definitely use Lucky Dog whenever we are in town!
