- KariAug 16, 2023Wonderful! Convenient to Lake George and Saratoga
We have been bringing our dog here for years whenever we visit Lake George and Saratoga a couple times each year. Kim and the staff are kind, knowledgeable and love dogs. We recently brought our new dog - a 6 yr old rescue German Shepherd who we were nervous to board for the first time due to reactivity - Kim put us and our new boy right at ease, and she was able to confidently handle him within just a few minutes. We got a great report on how he did as well as tips and even a recommendation for a trainer to speak with! Our dog Drake did great and came home happy and well-loved. We will continue to feel confident in bringing our pets to Tails Wag Inn whenever we travel to the area!!

Per the recommendation of our Lake George Hotel, I signed our puppy up to stay at the Tails Wag Inn next week. Tuesday I called to confirm, no one returned my call. Wednesday morning I called and emailed to confirm, again no response. Wednesday evening the mailbox was full. I had liked this facility on Facebook. Today they posted a silly Snoopy photo. I messaged them via Facebook and no one has responded.
To the above poster, I'm so horribly sorry your dogs became sick at this facility. I am going to contact the owner of our hotel tomorrow to let her know not to EVER recommend. I'm so thankful we were able to make other arrangements for our puppy.
- ChrissyJul 7, 2022Horrible Experience and Stay
Just wondering about other’s experience with Tails Wag Inn. I sent my 2.5 year old Red lab and 10 month old Red lab to the facility on June 8th 2022. They stayed there until June 12th. At first we felt comfortable leaving them as one of the staff members had said they were very big on communication and that we would hear from them if there was any problems or if our dogs felt uncomfortable. Over the course of their 5 day stay my dogs became severely ill and both required an emergency animal hospital visits due to their illnesses. My 10 month old after our 2 hour drive home had explosive diarrhea- at first we thought it was just due to him being away from home and adjusting to a different routine. However, the next morning our pup began not eating and drinking. By the afternoon our little guy was having seizures, vomiting and was very lethargic and required an overnight hospitalization. 2 days following this my 2.5 year old lab had the same symptoms and had explosive bloody diarrhea as well. This is VERY strange to us as both our dogs were up to date on all vaccinations, were healthy and had no problems prior to their stay at the Tails Wag Inn. Our labs even shared the same kennel throughout the duration of their stay. Upon picking them up it seemed like we had two completely different dogs as their demeanor had changed. In addition to this, the owner brought the dogs out to us and released our older one- which we had clearly stated at drop off that they were not to be out of a gated area off lead as they were not used to it and would run off. We quickly grabbed her lead as she ran toward us. After getting both dogs in the car for the ride home, we asked for an invoice for their stay. They were unable to provide any documentation as for what we were being charged and we found it was unusual that the charged occurred on the day we dropped off the dogs rather than when we picked them up. We have tried to reach out multiple times but have been unable to engage in any discussions regarding their stay. While also discussing their stay at pick up, it was brought to our attention during all the confusion of the dogs being loose, that our 10 month old allegedly ate a Seresto collar while at the facility. They were unable to provide any pictures and/or damaged collar to us when we inquired. This is very uncharacteristic of our dog to be so destructive with a collar as there has never been any issues prior to this stay.
