Highly disrespected by a sexist male employee. Basically, he yelled at me to move my service dog (even though service dogs have a right of away over other dogs, even in pet friendly buildings,) because an untrained dog in the store kept barking and lunging at him. In disbelief, I asked him why he was asking me this. His response? "BECAUSE YOU'VE BEEN ASKED TO!" Again, I asked why. Even louder, this rude and disrespectful employee yelled, "BECAUSE YOU'VE BEEN ASKED TO!" as if I was some child, (and people should not even be treating strangers' children like that, let alone a grown woman.) The dog trainer who I was supposed to have a session with did nothing to remedy the situation, just stood there like a deer caught by headlights, and being distracted by a dog she had no business with at that time. Understandably, I was angry, and took myself, my dog, and my business elsewhere. Although I complained to the manager, and he kept insisting that Petco had a "policy" against allowing visiting animals to interact with one another. (Never mind I had NOT been allowing my dog to interact!) However, anyone with any common sense understands it's almost impossible to prevent animals walking around a big box store from interacting in some way, unless they are specifically being trained to ignore other dogs, like mine. So, a bunch of bad behavior and attempted excuses. Real nice.
