No, no, no to their new groomer

We have been bring our standard poodle to the Myrtle Beach Pet Smart for almost 2 years, every 6-8 weeks. All good reports. A NEW groomer said he was terrible and we should go someplace else next time. He's a gentle service dog. Dogs sense attitude and, if she was nasty to him, that may have been a problem. When my husband mentioned that his past reviews were very good, she said "They must have been lying".

    Very Unprofessional and Rude Staff

I have used PetSmart Grooming all over the country and have always been satisfied but this location Myrtle Beach store number 1528 has a very unprofessional management staff. The grooming salon cut my standard poodle way too short. We complained and they said they would schedule another appointment. They wanted to make it a week later but we told them she was shaved and that was too soon. Our poodle was cut so short, that it is now 2 months later and she is just getting to look normal again. When we called to reschedule and get them to honor their guarantee we were told that not only would they not honor it, but we were not allowed to reschedule anymore or let us use their grooming salon anymore! I might be more understanding if they weren't the reason we had to keep rescheduling because she was cut so short in the first place. The store management staff was very rude. The lead manager on 10/11/2017 John was extremely rude and hung up on me twice after I ask for his first and last name. He said they were not allowed to give out last names so I ask for his Associate ID to call corporate on how rudely he was treating me. He just hung up! I called back and John answered so I ask to speak to the Store manager. John said he was not in the store, so I ask for the store managers name. He said Gary. I said may I have his last name? He once again hung up on me. I called PetSmart Corporate and issued a complaint so I am waiting to see what response I get back from them. Not very happy right now. I cannot believe they were so rude and unprofessional for being such a big chain store. I would have expect better customer service to say the least!

Why is it an employee kills a dog in the grooming salon then has three other issues with cutting dogs with the clippers. Then you have another girl n the grooming salon who verbally abuses the dogs no write ups or anything. The store manager herself has told this individual she needed to take it easy with the dogs. Nope nothing still happening m not sure this new DM Chris knows what he's getting himself into. Even the assistant store manager and grooming salon manager are too busy flirting and having backroom discussions that's why alot of this nonsense is going on.. I am an employee in that store but I hear and see alot they have a stockroom manager that has told half the store about the girl in the salon Terry Lynn killing a customers dog she told several people. And about her statement she had to give. Everyday it's something new but I can gaurentee the DM and the store manager Brooke the number one issue as far as management news leaking out for the whole store to hear is coming directly from Lashanda thier stock room manager. The store pretty much needs new staff.

    Mrs.

Sad to say it's not just the one in Myrtle, the one here in Charleston WV while I was waiting to have my baby girl groomed was open hand slapping another Schnauzer across the snout & jerking his head downward hitting his neck against the chain collar laughing while stating, "he's nipping at me, look, look, he's nipping at me." The poor lil thing wasn't doin anything but licking his mouth after she smacked him. The other 4 groomers working were laughing with her. Needless to say, I left. She had the nerve to call me at home and ask if I would bring mine back. Uh NEVER!

    Angry Poodle

Visiting Myrtle Beach for a month and decided to go get my standard poodle groomed. I made an appointment and they already had me on file from a previous grooming at another location. They assigned Gina to groom my dog and it was a HORRIBLE experience. She claimed my dog was so stressed that she couldn't continue the grooming and left my dog basically with cut paws, a cut face, and did her nails. She tried charging me plus told me to come back and that it would also be the same price! Paying twice for the same service! My poodle is very friendly and has even been known to lick the people who have cut her nails before. She has never bit nor growled at a soul! She is a very big baby! Needless to say the Shift Manager was amazing and knocked off most of the bill, I filed a complaint, and now hopefully we can go back when Gina isn't working and have the job finished. It's the only place we can have our dog groomed here because they have a history of her vaccinations and rabies shots.
