Description

Unlike a tradition dog kennel, we offer Durham and the Chapel Hill area dog boarding with a social play all day environment. Dogs are separated into indoor / outdoor play areas based on their size, temperament and play styles where they socialize and play all day. We keep a high staff to dog ratio and have web cams so you can watch your dog play while you are away. Boarding dogs are only in their cabins for meals and bedtime. At night, they are tucked in with a treat and soothing music. The cabins are large and come complete with cots and comfy bedding.

    Great dog fun!

We have been taking our dog to Camp Bow Wow for 4 years now. We have never had any problems getting a slot for day camp or overnight boarding. The staff knows our dog when he walks into the door! We know he is well taken care of at Camp Bow Wow.

    Home away from home

Camp Bow Wow in Durham has been a lifesaver for both my 'active' dog and my personal sanity. The counselors are very hands-on and always friendly. They've even taught my dog multiple tricks that she would never learn at home. We both love CBW.

Camp Bow Wow is the best

Our young and active Boxer loves going to Camp Bow Wow. He runs and plays until he is completely tired out! It is great for him to socialize with other dogs in a safe environment. All of the counselors treat him like such a special boy too.

    Highly Recommend

I've been taking my dog to Camp Bow Wow for about two years now... it's wonderful. Anyone can turn a building into a dog day-care, but it's the great staff that makes it "Camp".

She goes once or twice a week, and she's always excited and eager to go. When we pull up, she pulls me to the front door, then waits at the counter for the staff to come get her. That says a lot about how she's treated, and how she enjoys being there. At the end of the day, she comes out playful and tired. I've also noticed that the camping time has made her much better in public around other dogs. She knows the pack behavior and 'language', and is better with dogs in the neighborhood or parks.
I also use Camp Bow Wow's boarding service whenever I leave town with same results. She's happy; she eats there; and the playtime is great exercise for her. I like knowing the play is always supervised, and that all dogs have to be current on their required shots.

Again, my appreciation for the great staff and management system. I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow.

    awesome day care

We, like all of you reading this, love our dog and want him to be happy, well cared for and to just plain old have fun while we work. Camp days are Brody's favorites. He wags his whole body when he hears the words 'want to go to camp?' And we can watch him at play on camper cam from our office. We are reassured that he's well cared for and oh so busy all day long. The staff are fabulous - always a gentle manner and hand, clearly they love their jobs. I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow!

    Can't get Rocket to leave.

My Fiancee and I travel for work. When we have to leave we have zero hesitation taking Rocket to Camp Bow Wow. He runs into the lobby and seems to know every counselor there. They certainly all know him. We appreciate the cameras so we can look in on him when we're working. We also apprecate the mid day rest and the care he gets when he does have to stay over night. Every time we pick him up he waits in the lobby for a treat and seems disappointed that he has to jump back into the car for the ride home. Great staff. Convenient location as well as convenient hours for pick up and drop off, even on weekends.

    We love Camp Bow Wow!

We love Camp Bow Wow in Durham! Our 1 year old Boxer gets SO excited when he knows it's a "camp day." He runs and plays all day and is exhausted when he gets home. All of the people that work there love him and he loves them back. You can tell they really enjoy the dogs. We like being able to watch him on the camper cam. Overall a great place!

    in good hands

We temporarily relocated to the Raleigh-Durham area for work in Research Triangle Park. We had always taken our much-loved and much-spoiled dog to a day-care while we worked, and were looking for something comparable in the area. We looked very carefully at the options, including facilities, ratings, separation of dogs of different sizes and temperaments, and how the day was structured. Some dog-care operations highlight how nice the facilities are, inside or outside, but then kennel the dogs for a large part of the day. We want our dog to get plenty of exercise and social activity. She can rest at home. Camp Bow Wow was our choice, and it was the right one in every way. This is a franchise subscribing to a particular philosophy and design of care. The staff are professional and clearly love the dogs. There is an interview about your dog and a trial first day, complete with a report card. The facility has web-cams for every area, allowing you to check on your dog at any time. They do give the dogs a mid-day break (and if you wish a snack) for two hours, but the rest of the day is closely monitored play-time. The staff knows every dog by name, and can report on how your dog did through the day, and who its friends are. They are very attentive to special needs and requests. The price is average for such facilities, and particularly good if you buy the 30 day pass. You might even have your dog chosen for one of the monthly awards (sweetest, most obedient, most playful, etc.). We can highly recommend Camp Bow Wow if you are like us, and want to know your dog is in good hands and having a blast.

Day care program is great fit for my dog

I take my dog to Camp Bow Wow for day camp, and she loves it! She’s an active girl, so CBW is a great source of exercise for her. It’s also been very good for her socialization. She was a rescue, and when I got her, she was nervous around her people and in new situations. CBW has really helped her come out of her shell. She’s still nervous in new places, but at CBW, she seems very comfortable and greets strangers enthusiastically. I also appreciate that they have webcams, so I can keep an eye on her during the day. My only complaint is that I think they need more people in with the dogs during playtime. They always have one person, but I think at least two would be better for safety reasons.
