I don't understand some of these reviews.

I've been taking my dog to CBW for years. YEARS. I watch him at least a little while on the cams everyday. The staff acts like a celebrity has arrived every time my dog comes in the door, and how could anyone say there is no staff interaction? Every time I check the cameras which is randomly throughout the day, whoever is in the play yards is always loving on a dog. They do engage the dogs, they pet them and love on them plenty, they just can't sit in the floor with 30 dogs who are anywhere from 30-120 lbs, it just is not safe. But my dog has a blast. He plays until he gets tired, takes a little breather and then starts all over. He comes home tired and happy and is always bursting through the door to get into this place. Any time my dog has had any kind of issue (got a scratch while playing, threw up, etc) they always call me to notify and clean him up. I love CBW.

    Last Resort

What I like is that our dog actually gets out of the house during the day. What I don't like is everything else. There is no interaction between staff and the animals, (staff cites "jealous pack mentality" as the reason), and we still have to take our dog to play once we get him home.

    Best anyone could hope for

This is an open play facility where dogs of similar sizes and temperaments play together. That said, there is no way for the counselors to personally engage each and every dog at all times. Some dogs are more active than others and play more, others prefer to nap or stand by the counselors and get pets. Not every dog is right for camp. Some really wouldn't enjoy it. But if your dog likes to play like mine does and is fairly social, they will have a fabulous time. The staff is amazing, the owner is caring, and I have never had a bad experience. Some people expect their antisocial dog to miraculously start wrestling and playing when they go to camp, and that just isn't going to happen for some dogs. My maltese would hate it, I am positive. But my lab loves it.

    dog lover

I have never been so horrified. I took ny toy poodle there and watched on the web cam as one girl with long blonde hair squirted him in the face. Full force with a hose. I also had a friend whose dog died from bloat. Melinda Hoover was on a cruise and couldn't be bothered.

    Wonderful place

We have been taking our husky mix to Camp Bow Wow for some time now and always have a wonderful experience. The staff have been gracious and friendly, the owner is approachable and receptive. When ever I look at the WebCams I see our dog have a great time playing with other active pooches. We have used them for training also, and it has been a great experience. The trainers helped us with all kinds of problems. The staff area always willing to take you back to see the facilities. Dogs have cabins that are spacious. There are many happy customers who use Camp Bow Wow Greenville and I cannot speak highly enough of them. it is just a shame that usually it takes a bad experience for people to be disgruntled rather than us happy customers to post positive reviews.

    Dog Owner

HORRIBLE PLACE!!! We used to take our dog here for daycare and when my husband arrived one morning they told us they couldn't take our dog due to shot records needing to be updated which was not true. So my husband had to go all the way home and drop off our dog. Later that day i called and they said it was wrong in the computer but was right on paper form our vet. They never said sorry or we will give you a free day after we had spent almost $1,000 with them. Very poor staff and owner is HORRIBLE and RUDE!!! Don't go here! Sooo many better places in greenville than this nightmare!

We were coming from Atlanta trying to get there on time to pick up our dog. I called twice to let them know we were close. When we got there (at 7:01) they were locking the door and said they couldn't give us our dog. They said "if you had gotten here by 7 you would have got your dog." They are rude. NEVER TAKE YOUR DOG HERE.

If you look at the webcam you want take your dogs to this place. Small dogs stand around and bark most of the time. There was very little human interaction with the staff. The only thing it did for my toy poodle is make him more insecure.
