Saved Esso from going back to breeder!!

Sho and her effective training prevented our Doberman Esso from going back to the breeder!! When we first got Esso, we hired another trainer that provides in house service and costed twice as much as Sho's class. This training worked for a bit but soon Esso was our boss and we did not know how to manage her or control her. Through Esso's destiny (it really was) Sho came into our lives and we now have a beautiful, obedient well mannered Doberman. i get so many compliments when I take Esso out for walks or outdoor events. i can trust my dog near children's parks or around other dogs. Sho has nothing but sound understanding for dog psychology and deep compassion for dogs. She showed my whole family how to be in control of our dog and has time for all the questions you have. Trust me - dont bother with any other trainer. Go to Sho - you will love your dog so much more.

    Exceeded Expectations

We enrolled our young miniature schnauzer in Sho's course which was an intensive 10 week course. Our dog Connor finished the course understanding and obeying all of the basic commands. Since taking the course, Connor has become a very enjoyable dog to have with us. Sho is very knowledgeable and had ready suggestions to address problems as they came up. I cannot recommend My Obedient Dog enough. If you are willing to work with your dog, Sho will get you the results you seek.

    Peace of mind

Sho Papazian is a confident and experienced trainer that is able to deal with dogs at all levels of difficulty. Her method of training is extremely successful and her patience with, and positive and reassuring attention to each individual was most evident.
She taught me the correct and successful use of the prong collar for training purposes and there is definitely no cruelty involved.
My experience with Sho was very positive and I would highly recommend her.

    Excellent

I'm not sure why the other review was entered considering Brianne only watched a few minutes or so of one dog who's past and present issues or reasons for training is not known to her. I can only say that criticizing the methods used without knowing much about the dog, behaviour and demeanor is premature and biased due to her own methods of training she believes may or may not be better. Any experienced dog trainer should know not every dog responds well to treats and praise only, and a correction corresponding the dog's state of mind is often needed whether is teaching the dog to heel, sit, recall, etc.
Unlike Brianne, I have taken private lessons as well as class group obedience lessons with Sho of My Obedient Dog with my Bichon Frise and later on with my Rottweiler - Sho is an excellent dog trainer! Myself and my dogs absolutely love going to Sho's classes - so much that we have continued going even after completing both levels (beginner and intermediate) as we truly enjoy the classes and overall experience. Not only have I become the leader of the pack, I have seen a tremendous change in my dogs' response, respect, and overall calm happy go lucky demeanor.
If it's aggression, obedience, heeling, or anything at all concerning your dog, I highly recommend hiring My Obedient Dog for a great solution and start developing a wonderful life long relationship with your dog.

No need for prong or shock collars!

I watched this woman training a client and her Dalmatian in Bass Pro today . I was horrified I too have a Dalmatian and I too am a dog trainer. I use only positive techniques and I hate seeing trainers using harsh tools such as prongs and chocked and shock collars . There is no need for them and scientifically speaking- they are out dated and cruel tools. Any trainer still using these methods is clearly not doing any continuing education in their field. I would avoid trainers who elf use to use food in training. Save your money and your dog and avoid trainers like this one
