    Puppy Wuppy Immaculate Dog Training

    TESTIMONIAL!

About two years ago, I called Lori desperate for help with my 3yo pit bull mix. He had become very reactive to dogs, cats, and sometimes people (especially women - abuse history from a woman). He was resource guarding toys and ME. I was thinking about euthanasia because the problem was getting worse instead of better.

The saddest part was how loving Cosmo was toward me and my family. It would’ve destroyed me to have him put down.

Lori taught me how to create boundaries, structure, consequences for bad behavior, and an appropriate bond with Cosmo rather than babying him.

Two years later, he can greet people in stores, he tolerated a pre-schooler and a toddler visiting the house, and walks in public spaces totally focused on me without a care toward other dogs. In fact, the other day I was training at pet goods and a woman let her very young puppy go to the end of its FLEXI Leash 🤦‍♀️ to within 3 inches of Cosmo’s nose (she let the puppy walk around the corner of the aisle and bam… right there). Coz barely acknowledged the puppy’s presence. I said “leave it” followed by “heel” Coz immediately looked away from the puppy and right at me and quickly assumed the heel position and we walked off with not even a look back.

Coz is also great off leash now with a solid recall (your dog coming to you no matter what, the FIRST time you call them). He will even stop while running to me on recall and sit or down just because I tell him too. These are all things we learned in Puppy-Wuppy’s obedience classes.

Don’t think you need a dog with issues to benefit from training. The bulk of Lori’s business are just regular dogs needing exceptional manners. Lori and her staff can handle puppy classes, basic through advanced obedience, along with rally, agility, and helping you bring up your competitive dog. In addition. Lori will also use her own dogs in class to demonstrate a task or provide a distraction. It is amazing to watch her impeccably trained working dogs. We’ve been training with Lori for 2 years and it’s the highlight of our week. My dog gets so excited when we are going to class.

I highly recommend training your dog, especially if you rescue a pit bull. Pit bulls are prey driven, confident, powerful dogs who are very affectionate but need proper training and a solid recall. And definitely not that positive only training. Nothing wrong with rewarding your dog but they must also have a balance of reward, structure, and corrections, just like your kids. Lori and her team work with lots of dogs with behavioral issues and I’ve seen them grow into amazing obedient dogs, just like Cosmo. We ❤️ Puppy-Wuppy!

    So Happy With Results

! adopted a dog from 11th Hour Rescue. He is a mixed breed, approx 5 yrs old and 85 pounds.
He was a handful. Hard to walk and had issues with other dogs. Found Lori from Puppy Wuppy. She is a no nonsense trainer and I could not be happier with our results. We now do outward hounds with her (where you and other dogs go to a very busy park, encountering dogs, bikes and children)
My dog has come a long way in his training, all because of Lori. I highly recommend her to all. Thanks Lori.

    Puppy-Wuppy Rocks!

I have been going to Puppy-Wuppy for 3 years now and cannot say enough great things about Lori Minardi. She is a fantastic trainer and handler who has experience with all different kinds of dog breeds and temperaments. I have brought all 3 of my dogs to her and have taken a range of classes from obedience and rally, to urban agility and agility classes. She has encouraged me and my one dog to challenge the limits of what we can do as a team and if it wasn't for her I would have never thought to start competing in AKC trials. When I started going to her I had a skittish and frightened dog who would growl and cry as soon as another dog entered the room. Because she helped build his confidence through training, I now have a calm, well adjusted dog, who I can take anywhere with me. What sets her apart from the other trainers out there is that she truly cares about the dogs and clients she teaches. She doesn't try one single method of training, but works with you to find the right method for you and your dog. Her smaller class sizes also give you the 1:1 attention you do not get from other training facilities.
