Description

The owners and friendly staff of the former Camp Bow Wow in Santa Rosa have opened up a new business, Paradise Pet Resorts. Two locations to serve you: 2120 Bluebell Ave.in Santa Rosa, and their new 2-acre facility at 5800 Commerce Blvd. in Rohnert Park California. They offer dog and cat boarding, an all-day supervised play environment for dogs in large play areas, web cams, and professional pet grooming. And the first day of daycare is free! Never Again!

I read the reviews and among the bad there were some that really loved the place. So I decided to give it a try for myself. Well I wish I didn’t

    Worst Employees

My dog went here for a week, and he will never go back. The employees that watch the dogs just hangout on their cell phones while the dogs aimlessly walk around. If I'm paying for daycare, I expect my high energy dog to get some exercise. Each time I picked him up he was crying because he had to go the the bathroom so bad, so he obviously wasn't walked or comfortable enough to go. He was also dehydrated. Not a good place for your pet.

*UPDATE* We got desperate for daycare for one week and went back... big mistake. My poor baby sprained his shoulder, got kennel cough, and had bad stomach problems.. all from 3 days at this place. If you care for your pet, please son't go here. They even offer a free day for a 5 star review on yelp, so I wouldn't trust those either.

    Never Again

I have used Paradise Pet Resort for boarding, day care, and grooming for many years, but will never go back due to the deteriorating conditions I have seen there. The staff I have encountered on recent visits all seem very inexperienced in dog behavior. Several employees seemed to be either high school students, or very early college. I question if there is any training provided to them in dog handling and behavior. I gave the staff specific instructions on my dog, which weren’t followed. I spoke with the manager on duty (Mary) who did not seem to have a lot of knowledge about dogs either. Several times my dog’s bed came back to me soaked with urine after boarding my dog while I was on vacation. My dog is house trained, so must not be taken out early enough in morning. This facility may be somewhat okay if your dog has no special medical needs, and loves all other dogs and people and is laid back. Other than that, I wouldn’t recommend them. Even at that, dogs aren’t getting out like they need to in order to potty. I would possibly use them if they had better trained, more knowledgeable staff. Their current young staff seems to have a lot of employee drama that I’ve seen from time to time when I go there.

Wouldn't take my dog here again

Not the worst place on the planet but there are definitely better in Santa Rosa. The place seems dirty and it's way over priced. Not for me or my dog.

    Great place!!

My dog absolutely loves it here. He's pulling his leash to get to the front door as soon as we pull up. The staff are friendly and I absolutely trust them to take of all his doggie needs, whether it be grooming, daycare, or the occasional overnight stayl. Their hours are super convenient and I couldn't be happier when he comes home a happy and tired pup!!
