  They are only interested in your Money

  We have been taking our German Shepherd and pitbull mix to Four Paws Animal Hospital for 1 year. Our first visit was because our dog was itching and they prescribed Apoquel to us, which they claimed would be a drug that would help stop his itching. We weren't informed of any serious side effects from using the drug. However, after giving it to our GS for a month, we did some research and found that it is a drug that is known to reduce bone marrow as an anti itching drug. We were shocked, no one at the office had mentioned any studies concluding that, and basically made it seem like we were giving him Benadryl for his allergies, when it comes with serious medical complications.

  During that same visit, we took our shelter pitbull mix, who has been through severe trauma before coming to us, to get her anal glands taken care of - a practice we've done at every vet we've ever visited, and it's gone fine. They insist on taking our pit to the back, away from us, which we thought was strange because we've always held her during. We told them she will be anxious, but they insisted. They also refused to let me hold her during the procedure and then when a nurse was nipped (which she has never done to any previous vet and we cannot verify if it truly happened because we were not present), they told me in the future they needed to be sedated. No vet has said this to me in the past, I have always been able to hold my dog. In December we had a pet emergency and I was short for the visit, as my partner had been laid off. They told me I could sign up for a monthly service that I could cancel at anytime in order to pay the bill that day. Later they refused to let me cancel the service. My card was stolen and cancelled. I missed a few payments as we have been struggling through COVID along with most others out there, and now I am in collections for a service I did not want and tried to cancel and pay in full a month ago.

  DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE! THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN MONEY! THEY DO NOT WANT TO HELP YOU OR YOUR FURRY FAMILY!
