  Love the Swamp house

  We are Snowbirds that found the Swamp House last winter before we had a dog, it's a great place to grab some good food and a cold beer. The people watching is fun and they have live music in the afternoons. This Aug. my daughter gave me a sweet rescue dog for my birthday and love taking her here. The staff are great and take very good care and give lots of attention to Pippa.

  Great views & staff loves dogs!

  My dog is always taken care of at the Tiki Bar. It's the bar downstairs on the river. Great place to relax with your dog and enjoy the view of the St. John's with a burger and beer. We go at least once a month for lunch on the weekend. The waitress usually brings my dog a bowl of water before she takes my drink order. She keeps it filled regularly as well. And of course, lots of petting from all of the staff. They recently put in rings on the ends of the tables to hook on your leash and this has made hooking my dog to the table very convenient. Tables for the most part are huge, heavy picnic tables that are great anchors for leashing my 50+ lb dog to without having to worry he'll cart the table away. There are usually two or three dog owners hanging out at this bar, some arrive by car, other's by boat (there are boat slips for free use while you're at the bar and there's an attached store to rent boats but no dogs on the rentals.. The menu is limited but the food is fresh and the portions are good. The burgers are huge!!! I always leave satisfied and my dog gets excited every time he realizes were going to the Swamp House.
