  very nice experience

  On a stroll by the ocean with our Golden Retriever, we happened upon Nelsons. Coincidentally, I had read a review the day before. The waitstaff was pleasant and brought water for our dog, unasked for. Food was good and overpriced only as much as all of LA. The view was amazing and I will definitely come back again.

  Nice and Overpriced

  A beautiful view / property, and welcoming to dogs. No one offered to give ours any water, but we did get a lovely patio seat allowing her to sit right next to us and not tied up outside any gates. The food, although good, is annoyingly overpriced, which we believe has something more to do with the beautiful view than the quality of the ingredients. The wait staff was moderately busy, and moderately warm. For our family, it's a nice experience but not a favorite spot.

  Dog gone great!

  I had been looking for pet friendly places to eat near home and Nelson's at the incredibly beautiful Terranea Resort came up here on BringFido. A short drive later we arrived at the resort entrance and began asking if the property was pet friendly, and where could my dog and I go for dinner and a view. Not everyone was sure, but every staff member was falling all overthemselves to find out...the answer was Nelson's, the "kind of" sports bar at the far end of the very large resort. I was instructed to leave my car in their capable hands, and a private driver on a golf cart chauffeured me and Fido down to Nelson's. Upon arriving the incredibley cute and bubbly hostess staff, after much fussing over my dog, took us to the outdoor firepit area where others were enjoying the company of their friends...and dogs, over an ocean view sunset and moon rise. Alas, there was nothing on the menu for Fido, but they did bring her a bowl of water while I had a scratch margarita that was to die for, and absolutely delicious crabcake sliders on Hawaiian bread...Yum! Nelson's and Terranea is somewhere I will be going to much more often...why I had not until now I have no idea!
