It was busy but we had like half an hour wait and the patios are covered so it’s really nice. They bring water for your dogs and love on them. The food is pretty good and pretty affordable. Definitely reccomend.
- WhitneyOct. 9, 2021Amazing food and very dog friendly
We stopped here on a busy Friday night with our large German Shepherd and it was no issue at all to the staff. It is a small patio so as long as your dog stays out of the walk way, you’re good. If you didn’t bring a water bowl, ask the staff and they will bring one out to you.
The food here is out of this world! We had the Crab Cake Fritters and Mayfel’s Gumbo as appetizers and then had the Seafood Étouffée for the main course. 10/10

Loved our experience at Mayfel’s! sat outdoors with our puppy and the staff brought him treats and his own water dish. The food was fantastic and there was a drum circle going on across the street which was cool to watch.
- DebApr. 10, 2021Cozy, friendly & yummy!
Lovely staff, fun New Orleans-type
menu. - KaylaMar. 29, 2021Covered, rain-protected patio allows dogs
Mayfel’s brought out a dog bowl and it was a great spot for our puppy Mo to get some good shade and still spend time with us while we had brunch. We were sat in a corner that had plenty of space for Mo to stay out of the way but still people watch, his favorite activity.
- PattiMar. 4, 2021Great Patio, Great Food
We stumbled upon this place walking around downtown. They were so friendly to our dog, brought her water, and gave her lots of attention! The food was great as well.
- RandiFeb. 15, 2021Great First Experience
This trip to Asheville was our first time taking our lab mix with us on vacation and we were hesitant! we were so thrilled with the fact that Mayfel’s had a heated and enclosed patio that allowed our pup to be with us at dinner. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and we will definitely be visiting again!

WE had a such a great time at Mayfel’s with our huskey, Nala, that we went again the next day and brought family. She had a great time, all the waitresses and waiters loved her, one day they brought her all of the “dropped” bacon. They didn’t even mind her laying in the middle of the patio and they all just stepped around her.
- MadelineSep. 8, 2019Lovely Place!
Food was delicious and their patio was extremely dog friendly!
- RobAug. 23, 2019Breakfast In The Covered Patio
Great menu, New Orleans type fare, great service and very Dog Friendly. Also Gluten Free friendly ( great GF Biscuits). Made for a relaxing meal. Other dogs were chill as well. We will be back as they took all the worries away.
- VanJan. 20, 2019So Friendly!
Dogs are allowed on the patio but it doesn’t seem like the patio is heated. Servers are very friendly and will bring dog bowls and treats for your furry one!
- HeatherAug. 4, 2018Outdoor covered patio
Great place for breakfast. Outdoor covered patio for the pup when it was raining out! We were able to enjoy our meal and have our pup with us even though it was raining.

This was my first time visiting Asheville so we decided to stop here because it was on BringFido. The food was wonderful and the staff was really nice to my lab Max. I’ll definitely recommend Mayfels

Couldn’t have been more sweet to my doodle 🐾 the food was awesome and service excellent the rain did not dampen the spirt of this lovely outdoor patio:)
- BridgetJan. 8, 2018Lots of Egg Menu Items
We visited for breakfast on a cold morning with 3 dogs in tow. Thankfully, the patio is heated! My husband enjoyed his eggs. I wish the menu included other options (oatmeal, yogurt, etc.) But the lunch menu is available for breakfast so I enjoyed the fried green tomatoes... very yummy.

We had a great dinner at Mayfels. The muffuletta and beignets made us feel like we were in Nola. Peabody received a warm welcome as well.

We ate here during Friday night drum circle time so had music. We were given a place on covered front patio that worked well for us and our golden. She got a bowl of water a t the table. We had delicious po boy and a meatloaf entree and some local beer. It is in the middle of the action across from Pack Square

- MichelleMore than a year agoFriendly staff, great food!
Outdoor covered patio has heaters for winter visitors with dogs in tow. Don't miss the Fried Green Tomatoes! The goat cheese makes the dish. Lots of choices on the menu for everyone. The grilled cheese and tomato soup kept me warm and my husband ate every bite of his shrimp Po Boy.
- SallyMore than a year agoloved the back courtyard
Great spot to eat with your dog. We ate in the back courtyard which is down a steep flight of stairs, but is very shady and comfortable if stairs are not a problem for you or your dog. The food was very good. There was not a water bowl for dogs, so bring your own.
- ValerieMore than a year agoVery Dog Friendly
We were visiting from out of town and had our pup with us. We asked a local couple, who was walking their dog, if they knew of any dog friendly restaurants in downtown Asheville. They immediately suggested Mayfeld's. We headed over and were not disappointed. We were seated relatively quickly on their front patio. Our waitress was very attentive not only to us, but to our dog, Reagan, as well. The food was fantastic and priced well. The next time we are in Asheville, we will definitely return.
- LauraMore than a year agoMy favorite place to eat!
I have 2 belgian malinois that I often take for walks downtown Asheville along with my 2 year old daughter. The staff at Mayfel's is always super friendly. They have a cute outdoor dining area with room for both pups and a stroller. They love my dogs, and the food is AMAZING! What could be better?
