  Extremely Disappointed with Service on Father’s Day

  I regret to say that our experience at Beachcombers Trading Post on Father’s Day was extremely disappointing. We were seated promptly, which initially gave us hope for a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, that hope quickly faded as we sat for 34 minutes without a single staff member acknowledging our presence.

  Frustrated, we approached a waitress to inform her that we still hadn’t been helped. Instead of a courteous response, she was snappy and rude, telling us, “I’ll see who is supposed to help you.” This interaction left a sour taste in our mouths, but we hoped things would improve.

  Five minutes later, we noticed a new group of people being seated. To our dismay, the same waitress who had been rude to us walked right by our table, ignored us completely, and proceeded to assist the new group. She then walked away without any further acknowledgment of our table.

  The lack of attention and the unprofessional attitude of the waitress was unacceptable. We left feeling deeply disappointed. Father’s Day should have been a special occasion, but our experience at Beachcombers Trading Post was far from it. We hope management takes these issues seriously to ensure other patrons don’t face the same poor treatment.

  AMAZING view, great service, terrific food, and dog-friendly

  Loved our meal at Beachcomer! Sunset Salad with grilled fish for me and Beachcomer Fish Sandwich for my husband. The grouper in both our meals was perfectly grilled and portions were generous. As mentioned in another’s review, you place your order at window and are given a number plaque, you then select a table and place the number plaque on it and a delightful employee brings your meal to you. Cute colorful tables with options for shade (umbrellas) or no shade as you choose. All staff we met were helpful, efficient & polite. We were thrilled that they allowed leashed dogs at the outdoor seating. Parking is very limited but we were able to find a parking space at the restaurant. You also could park in Englewood Beach public parking and it’s a very short walk to the restaurant. Highly recommend!!
