  Great food and service

  Whilst enjoying a short stay in Staunton we dropped in Byers Street Bistro with our pooch for dinner. It was a very hot evening and we found a table on their large dog friendly patio out front.
  Calvin our server is clearly devoted to his job and customer service.
  The meal and ice cold beers were fabulous and a bowl of iced water was provided for our four legged dinner companion.

  Great Experience

  Ok, This establishment really went out of their way for us when we were visiting our daughter. We brought our dog thinking we were going to sit outside but the patio was closed due to inclement weather. The hostess spoke with the owner and they were able to accommodate us in a corner booth which was really nice.

  Food was excellent, staff was friendly, the dogs enjoyed it as much as we did.

  Super place. Very attentive staff, water bowl for our pup. Several of the staff members who weren't even waiting on us came out to give Maverick some "noogies".

  Modern southern American at its best

  Great food! Good service. Adorable inside and out. I got a burger, which they didn't ask how I want it done, and Brussels sprouts (sweet but really tasty). My burger was on the well end of medium well, no pink but still juicy.
  My husband got the hush puppies and falafel; the hush puppies were great with corn and bacon in them, the falafel itself being good but not the best, he loved the sauce and the sandwich as a whole.

  Great for dogs — they get to eat your food

  Because it’s not so good by human standards. Ordered a hamburger medium rare; it arrived gray and dry. Waiter was sympathetic but dismissive.

  What a great place! Lovely patio seating with an interesting and diverse menu. Liquor license so the humans can enjoy a little libation with dinner.

  Perfect for dog

  Sat on the patio for drinks and dinner with pup. She was able to walk right through the restaurant onto the patio. Great.

  Wonderful experience

  Food was fantastic and the setting and restaurant workers were wonderful. I've been to many a place that is dog-friendly, but this one stands out in both service to the dog and owner as well as food - did I mention how good the food was! I'd go back there if I was visiting even without the dogs!

  The food is fantastic and the patio is perfect for bringing your dog! They brought us out a bowl of ice water for our pup without us even having to ask and brought him out an all natural treat. Everyone is so so sweet and friendly and they all love having dogs here!

  Dog Friendly in Staunton

  Staunton in general is dog friendly but not a ton of outdoor patios that are easy to bring a dog to. Byers Street has a large patio area and the food is great. They even brought us a dog bowl. Made our night having a great restaurant we could bring out dog.
