  Lovely Patio With Great View

  We sat with or two dogs on the patio for breakfast. The server brought our dogs water immediately and the staff were very friendly. It’s a great location right by the bridge. The breakfast was delicious, I would recommend the breakfast tacos. Only reason I gave 4 bones instead of 5 is that my husbands bacon was over cooked!

  I ate here at 1200 for lunch yesterday (4/15/17). There was not enough shade and hot for pup. First off, the server took about 10 min to approach us and asked us for drinks and it wasn't even that busy at the restaurant. The food took over an hour and we simply ordered a lunch for myself friend and daughter. I ate the chicken salad wrap. It was fairly good tasting. I then started my drive home to San Diego. At about 6pm, I got extremely sick. I had to pullover to the side of the freeway and vomit multiple times. Me and my friend had the same dinner last night and the same light breakfast in the morning, and he was perfectly fine. He ordered a different lunch here, So it had to of been the lunch at this location that made me sick. I tried calling them to warn them about it at about 6:30 PM and there was no answer. At one point they picked up the phone and then hung up. I really hope no one else got sick. I will never go to this restaurant again. The service is terrible, and the food was spoiled.

  too hot!

  Went to eat here but the patio doesn't hv enough shade to eat comfortably ... No misters:(
  Friend went inside and overheard staff complaining that we wanted to sit outside .... Skipped the suffering of sitting somewhere scorching hot with my pup

  Makai Cafe

  Lovely patio overlooking the Colorado River. Umbrella shading. It is located behind the Island Mall on the west side of the river. Go down the steps or the ramp north of the building. We ordered the Spanish Omelette, which was spicy, but good. The menu was extensive, the staff was friendly, and they brought water for our dog. Great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
