Not dog friendly. Was just turned away with my 12 pound chihuahua - and the hostess was nasty too: “we don’t allow dogs here.”

    Not dog friendly

The host wouldn't seat us with our dog because she barked once! Seriously? She's a 6 pound Havanese in a stroller!

not a true dog friendly restaurant

we showed up with three well-trained dogs between four adults and the first thing that came out the host's mouth was "they can't bark" -- never ever at any dog friendly restaurant (and we've been to many) did anyone give us a warning like that. the manager/owner then came out after we were sitting down and told us that he couldn't have more than one dog per party and that we had to leave. NOT a true dog-friendly restaurant. would give zero bones if i could.

Not only was the staff amazingly accommodating to our having our puppy with us but the food was also phenomenal. Mussels were enormous and the broth was delicious as was the bread that accidentally fell into it after. We enjoyed a wonderful bottle of champagne and a beautifully prepared seafood tower. The only distractions were everyone coming over to our sidewalk table to admire our gorgeous black lab puppy! We have been to Newport many, many times and have never eaten here before. This was certainly not our last time!

great menu, three dog friendly tables

Great location to people watch down near the harbour. Excellent menu and great service. Only three dog friendly tables though but they are the best ones if the weather is good.
