Brought my son and pup here for dinner. There were so many pups already there. This place has a menu for dogs and brings the dogs water bowls. The staff was friendly and the food great!

We’ve never taken our nervous pooch out for dinner. We’re on a road trip, and this was a great spot for us to hang out together AND make it extra rewarding for him! The waitress deliver a bowl of ice water and we order him som grilled chicken. It came in a compostable dog bowl... awesome! Would love to go back anytime.
Better yet, the kids (ages 7-8) spent over and hour playing in the fishing fountain!

O'Briens is a cool place we visit frequently with our 2 pups! By far one of the most dog friendly places is this region. Great menu for humans and dogs, and the dogs get lots of attention. It is on very busy Thames street with lots going on so folks with nervous pups may want to be cautious.

So dog friendly, they even have a menu designed for the dogs (chicken breast, hamburger patty etc) they cut it up in small pieces and serve in a dog bowl.
Servers always bring fresh water too! Everyone comes over and gives love to the pups. Overall, on of the best places to visit with your babies. And ask for Sara! She’s amazing and so attentive to the pups. - CaitlinJul. 7, 2018Most pup-friendly restaurant in Newport!
We visited O’Briens on our last night in Newport and it was hands down the most dog friendly place on our trip. We walked in to see a handful of groups with dogs on the spacious patio, and we were easily accommodated when we asked to sit further away from the live music (our dog doesn’t love loud noises).
The server brought her a nice big bowl of ice water, and though we didn’t peruse the “doggie dining” menu (we had just fed her), they also brought out 2 milkbone treats along with our human food.
Everyone was super kind to us and our dog and we would definitely come back for that experience, plus the ambience and the food!
