  Hayden’s summer food tour series – entry #1

  Last week we took Hayden to Pairings Bistro in Bel Air. Pairings features a dog-friendly front porch with about 12-15 tables. Some nights they even have live music (and tables fill up so get there early!). Pairings specializes in “pairing” good locally sourced food with worldwide wine selections from their vast cellar. Their menu is currently doing a weekly change-up so check each week to see what is in season and in their kitchen. When we went last week I had the smoked pork which was served with dirty rice and red eye gravy. This was a bit out of my culinary comfort zone, but it was amazing!! A nice kick and a lot of flavors layered together like a happy family. My husband had the vegetable risotto. He said it was very good and fresh, but was a bit disappointed in its small size. We kept our diet limited this night as we went to our favorite local snowball stand afterward to get dessert; Hayden loves to share our spearmint or mango snowballs with marshmallow.

  Quiet Pup friendly Brunch

  Took our dog for Sunday brunch and sat in patio seating - comfortable, clean, and plenty of space for our dog to stretch out next to my chair.
